Elemental is Brad's baby. gameplay is one thing, but story?? The origin story is Bard's bread and Butter. He even wrote and continues to write published books for it. Why would he or anyone else let someone come in and change the backstory?

Not even a little. Civ is civ and Elemental is Elemental.
I think you should age normally as do your kids, only since this is fantasy and wizard& sorcerey affair, your children can start leading armies at 10 years old or younger and get married around puberty, but don't have their own offspring until their late teens. Like good fantasy.
I don't think many people realize how bad the original Galactic Civilizations was from a design point of view. But it didn't have technical issues so it got pretty good reviews.
Some of us do. That is why we are waiting to see how you/r team resolves/fixes E:WoM. We've seen you work. I have faith. [quote who="Frogboy" reply="240" id="278295
No, it won't. It will be held to a different standard. To be fair, the problems that Civ 5 has are different that E:WoM had. Yes, there are various compatability issues, but the main problem of how E:EoM, gameplay, Civ 5 doesn't suffer from. What I believe it suffers from is Madden-itis. I now update my Madden game every 3 years. NCAAF, I update every 2. Otherwise it is missing that freshness that you want from a new game. E:WoM has it in spades, but it nee

This isn't a "Final" solution to it but it's a fairly straight forward change that alleviates this a bit.
You think people are complaining now about the teleport/economy issues.. This won't help.
Here's the issue at hand and the corresponding hole in the current system: Players should not be able to get something for nothing. During the beta, we used to allow players to build an unlimited number of buildings or 1 per level and this created a runaway economy. The imperfect solution chosen in the end was to limit many buildings to only 1 per city. This creates the issue that if you have something
Picked up Red Dead Redemption again... playing MP with friends and DoW II.
Looking good.
Congrats on the new addition. I/we know you will redeem yourselves, so I plan to stick around and see where this takes us. Welcome back.

Unlike some of you, I will not be getting Civ 5 until they release a couple of expansions, if then. I might wait until they release Civ 5 complete with all the DLC already in it. I am kinda pissed about the DLC. I hate micro-transactions on my PS3, and hate it even more on the PC. Enjoy Civ 5, while I enjoy Elemental. No, I am not a fanboi, nor am I a troll. Have a nice day!
Oh, my bad. I love the work you all are doing. So I asked this before and you sorta answered it, I guess, so I will ask again. The mini people that populate the tiles, can you control them? This way they will be elves or the like and not regular people.
The footprint, aka how many tiles they take up is to much, unless you have figured out how to reduce the maximum number of tiles allowed per city.
Not to be too critical, but are some of these designs too big and by that I meant, they took up too much space (footprint)?
