Why cant my sov. wear traveler boots? in War of Magic Elemental Forums

Ok I just dont get it. This is the 3rd game in a row where my sov. (in early game) has the traveler boots, but they do not appear on the equip screen. If I go to trade or to the store, they show up in the inventory. So what gives? There is no indication why I cant wear them. Very frustrating to not see them in the equip screen. By the way, this only happens to my sov. Other characters in my realm can see and equip the boots. <

[bug] Cannot start quest location level 2 with lvl 2 char in WOM Support Elemental Forums

Hi guys. Neither my sovereign nor my adventurer, who are both level 2, cannot start a quest location that is labeled level 2. I can confirm both chars are level 2. When I mouse over the quest location, it states "quest loc level 2, your level 1" even tho both of my chars are level 2. I can send the save game if that helps.

Battle results- what do Crowns mean? in War of Magic Elemental Forums

Actually, I rather like the amount of updates from Beta 4 to the current build. Its certainly more of a game now. And the UI is much better at providing information However, on the battle results screen, what does the number after the Crown represent? The other stuff on that screen I have sort of figured out (damage taken, etc.)

@Ross - I would just rename or move it as opposed to deleting, just so you can undo it later. I am at work so I havent tried it yet, but someone should post up the name of the directory we need to move/rename. Also, can someone just try random generating say, 5 maps, and telling us the result of how they came out ?

Sorry but I had to create a new thread, "This is horrible" was a stupid name of that thread that turned into a discussion of the maps, and the random map generator. So has anyone actually tried the improvised random map generator (read- move/delete the seeds folder) to see what the results are? It could be half decent, or it could be horrible (many 2-3 tile islands would be considered horrible). Sure, maybe you don't have an IDEAL location to start a cit

Ok, so to get back on topic for a minute, for now we CAN get random maps ?? (by moving the seeds folder?) By the way, Yes they should have put fully random map options into the initial release (if you don't like them or complain of unbalancing, don't use the option.. How do you give items to another char? in War of Magic Elemental Forums

Might as well ask now while I wait for the final release. How do you transfer items from one character to another? I had my sovereign update his equipment, and I wanted to give the old weapon to I think my merchant character. However, I put them in the same stack, and could not figure out how to do it. Clicking on them did nothing except equip.

[suggestion][Troop Roster] Still no info on sight distance in WOM Ideas Elemental Forums

Hi just a quick suggestion again since I noticed it unchanged on the pictures of the Gold version. In the Unit Designer, Troop Roster, there is no "sight distance" information on the unit card, and therefore, no way for me to tell the difference between an observer, scout or peasant. They all might have the same movement, attack and defense, so it is confusing when it shows that they take different materials to build. You currently have to remember that one

Couple of quick things that aren't explained at all that I noticed as I started it up for the first time-- Inns and quests - are these only valid for one quest per level? I did one quest from one inn, found another level 1 inn, but nothing happens when I move onto it. No more quests?? Nvidia drvrs 81.98 NOT compatible? in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

The game worked fine with Nvidia 81.95 drivers.. But with 81.98 the intro movie would not show, and the in-game would be complete graphic garbage.. If I alt-tabed out, the desktop was okay, but alt-tabing back in the screen went to garbage. I now updated to Nvidia beta drivers 84.20 and it works fine again (and the drivers are faster) .. but you have to get them from Nzone as beta drivers. Can anyone else confirm this?<

Finished those without having to resort to rushes on Normal, but I am having trouble (finally) on Deception. Those other missions you can usually hang in there until you can develop a ship that causes 3-4 dmg, fleet 4+ of them, and you can take-out most dread lord ships if you attack. The key is of course you MUST attack or you will lose the fleet... ie invest in engines and weaponry. So its not too bad.. Once they start losing ships its only a matter of time before you win.

Hmm.. interesting.. Running on a top of the line rig AMD FX57 with 7800 GTX's in SLI I have yet to run into any serious overheating issues or crashing. Hmm. I'm at 19?? by 1440 with the AA/Aniso maxed thru the driver (they don't go high enough using the in-game settings) but I doubt thats enough to affect the framerate too much (i.e. keep it from sky-rocketing). Is there any way to get a display of the framerate ?

Hey guys.. There is a slider that lets you adjust scroll speed so make sure you adjust that ! I thought it was slow at first too, but I just cranked up the slider and it worked beautifully.. Except for the lack of diagonal scrolling.
