that's a shame...looks like it has potential

heck...if we are giving out Karma and that is needed to be in beta...memememememe! (Jumping up and down)
I agree...if you work...you can't win. Oh well, I suppose if you don't have a job, you need the $100 coupon/prize.
Anyone play this online game? Like it? http://www.playsaga.com/
That's hilarious! [e digicons]:D[/e]
I am sure I will think of many but I REALLY want a race of ani-men...part animal part man. I am thinking along the lines of the lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I would love to see divisions of two legged lion warriors leading a charge...oh yeah!
I seem to remember someone else mentioning this somewhere but I can not find it. I wanted to bring this up again. I for one love reading fantasy novels and love to create detailed AAR after my games (images, screen shots, artwork, etc.) Call me an uber geek but what can I say. After playing Dominions 3 for some time, I noticed many others who enjoyed creating short stories detailing their exploits. I am not so hopeful that any game could create an AAR automatical
Plus if you purchased D3 directly from Shrapnel, I'm pretty sure they could find you in their database and send you a new code.
Yeah, thats what I thought. They have me in their records alright but they said I had to purchase a new manual that has a new CD key. The money is not the deal...it's the fact they have a record of my purchase and still require me to purchase something again. Anyway, I do not want to hijack the thread.
D3 requires a CD key...Elemental will not. D3 is a good game but in the end, the CD key sucks. I Lost mine after 2 years and now have to purchase game again. Sorry but I purchased it once already thank you. That fact alone makes it a poor purchase in my book.
Anyone else excited about this online game? I play Fall of Rome and really enjoy it. This new release set for early 2009 looks to be even better. http://www.kingdomsofarcania.com/default.asp
I was wondering how long it would take for this thread to change into an actual political debate. Looks like that may be starting so I am hopeful everyone can chuckle a bit at my joke but please lets avoid the real political banter. :)
You know, throughout history, conquering armies always absorbed the tech from the defeated foe. The attempt to assimilate foreign fighters into the conquering army often proved difficult due to difference in language, culture, etc. This meant that you almost never saw a barbaric warrior fight as a native barbaric warrior in the Roman army for example. It was also difficult to train that barbaric warrior into a modern Roman solder. What does this all mean? A
Not to be a smart ass or anything and maybe I missed another thread somewhere, but what does Obama or the election have to do with purchasing games? Just wondering
Not sure if you follow election politics but Obama has pledged a tax cut for 95% of Americans. The other 5% will get a tax increase which has been argued by many as redistribution of wealth. I am not going to get in the REAL world debate over that but I was just making a joke about this.&nbs
typical, it has been over 24 hours and my games are not yet here... So now that this administration has failed to keep it's word it is time to go to the new bread and circus giver.
Prepare to be audited! :)
Just think how cool it would be to spot a storm front approaching the mountains and knowing that if you can lure your enemy onto the windward side in a few turns, there's a good chance they'll get stranded in a blizzard while your troops take cover in the forest below.
Yeah I agree it would be very cool but it would all depend on how much time is represented between turns. Anything short of weekly turn cycle would not work.
The idea sounds interesting but I can't help but fear that alot of Uber players would quickly dispatch their less than "experienced" enemies taking a lot of fun out of the game. Since fun is kind of the point, it sounds like it is something that could be abused or over used.
Based on the support in another thread, I would add PBEM
This was corrected last night.
How was this fixed? Most digital downloads are cheaper than the boxed version...your costs are lower for the digital version so it generally gets passed on to the customer. My issue last night was that the listed digital download price was $44.95. The cart showed $49.95. I expected that the cart was going to be fixed. Instead, the website was simply updated with a new digital download price of $49.95.
Due to the wonderful response of this redistribution program (now called "no game left behind"), I will be dispatching game auditors to your locations to verify your gaming income. Should you qualify as a "fortunate gamer" you will be rewarded by including you as a patriotic gamer and will join me in the donation process. All games will be stored in a lock box for later distribution.
For a whole map to become winter (versus just the mid-section) or blazing summer (even in the polar regions), might not be very realistic. This is a very complicated request, assuming a map covers a whole continent.
I am not so sure. If the map is broken down to a simple grid, weather systems could be applied to specific grid blocks. In fact, not that I am advocating this, entire weather systems could move across the map utilizing a drifting grid coordinates
Jedmonds, this is hardly inflammatory...there are plenty of other political topics more controversial than this on this board. This is a joke, nothing else...lighten up.
Well, it looks like Obama is winning pretty handedly thus far. I guess this means I will not be purchasing any future games for myself...they will all go to the less fortunate gamers out there. So, let me know what ya'll want because I'm buy'n.
I hate the chess board battle map. That, IMO would be a huge disappointment.
if you can think of it...you can program it. That's what I am told by the programmers where I work at least.
