Recently picked up LH again. Nice changes in 2.0. There is still a tooltip bug that I reported like 3 times before I think. The tooltips for the city defenders in the city detail screen don't work. Can you please fix that? I'd like to know what's protecting my cities. Thanks. Also, did anyone notice the mouse pointer occasionally disappearing/reappearing and slowing down on some screens like unit details?

I suppose another possibility exists: 3) The spiders are stupid so they pick random units. So this is not a bug. I am not sure if that's the intent though.

In a tactical battle with two spiders, one of the spiders webbed my units successfully. Then, immediately after that, the second spider tried to web the same unit (again successfully) within the same turn. I am guessing either: 1) The spell effects are checked at the beginning of each turn so the second spider doesn't "see" that the target unit is already webbed. 2) The spell effect of "web" is buggy and it is not seen by the targeting AI. I remember

These changes are superb! I can't wait to see the AI going for Spell of Mastery aggressively. Really good changes overall. I agree with some of the other posters about class specific items. Class specific items are a great change but I'd also like to see some items that are not class limited but just better for some classes while being usable for others.

This is great news. I wrote about this a couple of times before (as well as many other people mentioning it several times in the past). Can you please take a look Spell of Making when you have a chance? Currently the AIs cannot defend against / do enough against a human player casting the Spell of Making. The -9 diplomatic penalty is not enough. The AIs don't declare war quick enough and when they declare war they don't attack you quick enough (or at all) to prevent casting of the spe

First of all, thanks for your hard work. The patch fixes/features look good. However, I have been plagued by crashes to desktop (at random times when I press end turn) as long as I can remember (my video card drivers are always up-to-date). I just started a 1.5 game with the opt-in beta and I crashed to desktop on turn 5 when I pressed end turn. My question is this: When the game crashes to desktop it looks like the game uploads something to Steam

When you go into city details screen and hover over city defenders, there is no pop up showing you the defender stats. I know this used to work in the past so a bug was introduced in one of the later versions. Oh and a couple of things: 1) Please add a "use no mana" autoplay button in the tactical battle screen. I want to hit autoplay for easy battles but when I press autoplay my sovereign immediately wastes mana by casting some unnecessary spell.

I know the game gives you the information about which cities don't have spells. It's just that I always forget to check it for one city and go like 5-10 turns until I notice it (I am pretty sure I am not the only one who forgets). That's why I personally think we need a reminder. When you are able to cast a city spell, there is almost never a good reason not to cast one (usually at least 1-2 is available to every sovereign) and when you do forget you are playing suboptimally.

A while back, you guys put the yellow outline reminder on the turn button for idle cities. That was great! Now, can you do something like that about cities that have essence but no city spells on them? I CONSTANTLY forget about them and miss out on optimal play because of it. The game can check if you have any castable city spells and empty essence slots and show a similar or even same reminder on the turn button. Thanks.

One thing I like about the Legendary Heroes release is you keep releasing new versions almost every day until the release day. This allows people to see what's (still) broken etc. Many game companies go Gold a week before release and don't touch production code again until release. While it's definitely a matter of preference, I like frequent updates better. Keep up the good work!

Pretty much what the title says. Every time I exit the game Steam does the synching and then updates the game like it's downloading a patch. Why is this happening? This didn't happen before. I think it started to happen the last couple of versions.

I'm a programmer too so I know exactly how you feel. You put in a hard coded kludge and stuff still happens. Very frustrating. Another persistent AI issue (though this is harder to completely fix): AI sovereigns and champions still leave cities alone to raid stuff and it's trivially easy to whack them since they are alone.

This is very interesting to read. I am playing a 0.80 game right now and I wanted to write this here because Brad had specifically mentioned this in the change log as "fixed". I was in tactical battle with two black widows and the very first thing they did was to web my archer which was in the far back. They also ignored my melee units and tried to beguile the archer. So it looks like this AI "bug" was not fixed. I also want to ask this: almost all AI imp

Yes, I know the city level up screen has that info but I thought those were modified numbers (i.e. after the improvements). Are you sure those are the raw numbers? I guess I can double-check but last time I checked they were modified numbers.

Each update, it keeps getting better! A few random suggestions / bugs: * Settle keyboard shortcut (B) doesn't work for the sovereign. I am not sure about pioneers. * In the skill tree when leveling up heroes, it's is very hard to tell between the skills you already have and what you can select. Make the highlight / outline whatever more distinct. * I always forget to cast city enchantments on some of my cities. A visual indicator (like the Yellow

Derek, is this: Fixed a crash that could happen between turns the bug where you click End Turn and there is a "soft crash" where you can move around, zoom in / out but you're stuck because you can't go to next turn anymore? I really like the changes. Do the save game crash fixes mentioned here and the changelog address the "game getting stuck after pressing End Turn" problem I reported here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/439544

I have to agree with UmbralAngel that this project being successful doesn't prove "a guy and a few friends make a hit PC game independently". Jon Shafer has a huge advantage of being the lead designer of Civ5, having worked on Elemental, being very-well known in game industry, being blessed/advertised by Stardock, etc. It's very easy to get publicity for him. I'd like to see a "nobody" with a great idea be successful. Then we can say "a guy and a few friends make a hit PC game ind
