You misunderstood me. It does show a tooltip when you find an item. No problem there. It doesn't show the item's properties in the quest screen. Like when you are offered the quest... I hover over the said item in the reward section in quest description and nothing shows. There is also no tooltip when you actually earn the reward and you are given like 3 choices: 300 gildar, a sword or 50 influence for example. I wanna know what the sword does if I'
Its a fairly simple issue. "you are dominating me" = you are winning a war. This discusses actual results; aka what your nations do to each others. "might score" and "your army is very weak" are two scores based on hypothetical calculation of your empire's and army's strength in the aggregate. With the former including cities and tech and probably armies (unlikely but possible income and cash). And the latter only armies. This i
1) In tactical combat when I hover over some of the new items added in 0.981 (various kinds of potions), the tooltips tell me how the potion is prized etc. but it doesn't tell me what the potion actually does. 2) When taking up a quest if the reward is an item, it should tell me the item's properties when I hover over them kind of like it does when you find an item. I shouldn't have to wonder whether it's a good item or not before accepting the quest. Sa
I reported this bug in 0.980. It's still in 0.981. I think it's a bug because in both of my games the sovereigns who said "you are dominating me +5" had much higher might scores than me. Also, a small tooltip bug: Ceresa's "Unstable" trait has no tooltip.
Ah didn't know about Steal City spell. I guess it makes sense that you don't lose the game with no cities because you start the game with no cities. I shoulda thought of that. So if I were to find some fertile lands (they seemed to disappear), would I have been able to settle on it with my sovereign again?
I just played a short game. I am liking what I see so far. Some feedback: 1) Love the new fonts. They really make a difference. Everything looks and reads nicer. 2) Love the new game options screens (customize opponents, etc.) 3) Tactical battles seem a lot better. Weak enemies actually run away etc. Nice. 4) I dropped my taxes to none and it still said 5% unrest because of taxes on my city. I understand it may be that way because of balancing bu
Update: I can login now.
I haven't made any changes and I still can't login so maybe it's on and off. I tried 3 times.
Overall very good. Like another poster said, cities are more meaningful now and the game looks more polished. I still encountered a bug I saw before. An umberdoth attacked me. In the tactical battle, when I clicked on umberdoth's little card (in the initiative - next to attack - ribbon) to see its stats the game gave me the reward for killing it even though the battle is still going on. I saw the same bug in Beta 3 I think. I don't know if it happens every time
Is finesse a bit weak? I have not seen Finesse II or III (I have never picked Finesse since it seemed weak) but +3% to hit seems like a waste of pick.
I don't necessarily argue for a third button. My point is the current two options don't cater to the most encountered use cases. Having Equip bring up the Equip screen would probably work.
I just started playing so I don't have big feedback yet but initially my feedback is positive. Everything seems to be a bit better. This isn't AI feedback but can you change these two pet peeves: 1) I find an item. There are two options: OK and Equip. A lot of times I miss a third option. I just want to look at the item before equipping it right away (I don't know if it's better than my current item for example). Can you put a thir
Maul ability being too powerful was brought up multiple times but I didn't see anything about it in the patch logs. I thought maybe since so many things changed maul may not be as powerful as before but it apparently is.
I have the same problem in 0.90/0.91 (updated from 0.86). I deleted the screens directory but now when I click on "New Game" the game gets stuck on the water ripple screen. Nothing happens. I also tried creating an empty screens folder again. Same result. I don't think the game regenerates the contents of that directory. I guess I may end up biting the bullet and do a full re-install.
I would like to second this. I want the smartest AI without any AI bonuses whatsoever. It used to be that Challenging was just that but the verbiage in 0.90/0.91 indicates that may not be the case anymore (it says it's a smart AI but also with some bonuses). Normal now says it "progresses" at the same level as the player so I am assuming that means the AIs get no bonuses although it also says average intelligence compared to high intelligence for harder levels. &nbs
Ah nevermind. I read that as +% like 100+113 instead of 113%. A whole bunch of useless posts, sorry. :) Yeah just 113% with some allowance for dodge makes sense.
I guess I don't know what is the "normal" %-to-hit rate of a unit. If it is low, then 113 accuracy makes sense. If it's closer to 100% then 113 accuracy is needlessly high.
StevenAus, no the way I understood it if you have 10 accuracy you have 10% more chance to hit. So, in this case 113 accuracy is 113+100 = 213% chance to hit which is a big waste of accuracy in most cases assuming there aren't many uber-dodge units around. I guess it all depends on what is the "normal" hit % without any modifiers.
Of course disappointed that the update isn't today but I am sure it will be much better this way. I really like what I see here. Question: in the screenshot Magnar leader has 113 accuracy. Doesn't that mean he has 213% chance to hit? Assuming he's not going against some uber-dodge unit it's a big waste of accuracy. Or maybe high accuracy gives other advantages too? Also, I like the new trees. It may be just me but units also looked
Very nice. What difficulty level was this?

Third Fourth Only problem is that real estate up there is already limited. What they should do is only have gold and mana up there and have all the others compressed into another page or sidebar that can be minimized.
I also hope the UI improvements / fixes aren't forgotten. I don't wanna sound like I'm just complaining though. The video looks great and there is definite progress.
Nice video. I always thought running in place was a bug too. It looks silly. You should remove it. Please change/fix these three things: 1) When a hero levels up the perk you pick (the button) is hard to see. It's just an outline you can barely see. Make it apparent (maybe another background color). 2) Fix the mouse cursor in tactical battle. It gets stuck in some mode (cancel, ranged attack, cast spell) and still shows that when you h
Interesting. I thought Elemental didn't wanna go for the classic Good-Evil / Chaotic/Lawful route and stay with Kingdom-Empire none of which are necessarily good or evil. It's a bit of a surprise but I guess at least people are familiar with the good-evil concept from other games. But, Gilden is lawful good? Seriously? These guys love money and mining. It's been a while since I read Destiny's Embers but if I remember right Gilden's leader went into a
