But then I saw the W40K:Space Marine trailer that had the same thing with a 40K Space Marine, and had the bonus of being the first 40K shooter ever, and I never looked back. But that's more due to "ZOMGBBQ 1st 40K SHOOTER!!11!" than "Crysis 2 sux lolz".
It's not the first 40k shooter, FWI. Look up Fire Warrior.

While I admit I didn't read the entire review (I'm ostensibly doing homework. And if anyone asks, I was never here!) I agree with what I read by and large. However, I do have a contention to make: You praise the NY skylines, yet I had the distinct impression that Crysis 2 actually enjoys limiting the draw distance. The scenes where you get to see a nice, vivid, skyline are few. I will play through it again, I suppose, if just to pay greater attention to how the game treats the skybox

You can change masteries anytime other than while playing a match at least. You can change them out of matches by going to your profile, and you can change them in the champion select screen immediately before a match begins. Just keep an eye on the countdown ticker, as you wont benefit from any points still unallocated when the match begins. Bot game IP rates have been altered. The IP you gain now depends on your summoner level, so newer players receive full points, and older players

He may mean that multiplayer is modeled almost completely off of console conventions of multiplayer. Small arenas, fast-paced action, short matches. They've taken a few hundred pages out of the CoD multiplayer handbook. If you're more into, say, the multiplayer found in Valve's games, you might not enjoy it. Then again, he may mean the fact that, despite patching and fixes, the Crysis 2 servers are still not working very well. Crysis 2 routinely forgets my CD key, and asks

@Soul-Stream: Annie is by far the most optimized bot, and she is consistently the most dangerous one to face one-on-one. I've also noticed that newer players almost never buy magic resist items, which means they aren't mitigating any of her damage. My advice would be to pick up at least one heavy MR item, and never bunch up when attacking her, as two of her spells are AoE. She's a lot less dangerous when helmed by an actual player, though, and tends to be easily shut-down

I primarily play single-player titles or single-player modes, but I still enjoy the social aspects of steam. I make use of the messaging and voice chat at least once a week to talk to old high-school buddies who have branched out into their own corners of the world. And if w

How, exactly, are the hardcore anti-steam/pro-impulse crowd taking it? I've always been as skeptical of Impulse as I am of any digital service (that is to say, only very mildly), but some people on these forums have a fanatical drive to support Impulse and demonize the competition. I'd think they might be more shell-shocked than the rest of us. The faith they had in Brad's ethics no longer plays a roll, as Brad's ethics no longer play a roll in Impulse... Eh.

CK and EU: Rome are like first cousins. Crusader Kings is built using an older engine that EU: Rome, and does contain some major differences in mechanics, but it is clear they are just different flavors of the same overall "game." While EU: Rome is very much in the line of EU games, Crusader Kings feels, to me, like Paradox wanted to approach the same problem from a different angle. I'll go over what sets it apart from a standard EU game: The Dynasty system is robust, and

The expansion allows you to run custom resolutions (doing 1680 x 1050 at the moment), though the game has literally no graphics options in-game. You have to open the config file and enter the resolution by hand.

Best thing about Paradox games? They're tiny. Seriously, Crusader Kings is, what? 200mb tops? And the expansion cant be more then 30. Ok, so it's hardly the best thing about their games, but in this age of digital distribution, I appreciate title that clock in somewhere under 12 gigs.

It is free, and no mechanical advantage is bestowed upon players who do pay. The closest paying players get to an advantage are experience and IP (the earned currency) boosts. While these boosts will help paying customers unlock content faster, it doesn't give them access to any abilities, champions, etc, that are superior to those available to everyone else. In fact, runes, which are the primary currency-sink in the game, can only be purchased with IP. These runes are the most po

LoL has a lot of variety with no more overlap than can be expected of that arena-type game. That said, some characters are so geared towards a particular play-style or mindset that they just aren't my thing, and I can't see myself ever picking them up for actual cash. With IP, when I've exhausted all other options? Sure, why not.
The worst part about LoL and HoN is the excruciatingly bad community, which is easily the worst I've come across in any game. LoL's real problem with the community is that the majority of the leavers and ragers end near to the bottom ranks of the game, just where new players are p
