Never had a problem with memory. 1GB RAM, 4096~4096MB virtual (fixed size to prevent swap file fragmentation). Is it better to use a 4096-4096 configuration or something like a 2000-4096 configuration? What's the difference? What do you guys recommend? I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!

Then there's the increase in colony maintenance from newer buildings - yes they are more effective, but older buildings are in some cases sufficient enough, especially on those low-population outposts. Why are new buildings on low-population outpost not worth it? I thought that people only deliver money via taxes and that production is just matte
Keep us informed about your game. I am curious how it will evolve.
Interesting thanks for your replies.
Thanks for the reply. But if i understand you correctly, the attacker has the first shot and could therefore win, without any damage if the defending fleet/ship is destroyed in the first shot? And armor defense is also useful if your enemy only has beam attack, as it reduces the damage of beam attack with sqrt(armor defense)? Is this correct?
Can someone please provide a brief and clear explanation on how the weapon system in the final version of galciv 2 dreadlords (I guess it is 1.4) works?
Nice story, keep posting these. looking forward to the game.
3 questions: 1) Does a dual core processor speed up GalCiv compared to a fast one core processor? 2) Does GalCiv stand to gain from an upgrade from 1 gb RAM to 2 gb RAM memory (ceteris paribus the rest of hardware)? 3) How do GalCiv and Dark Avator compare in terms of demanding from your computer? Thanks in advance for your (probably excellent) answers.
Definitely support your proposal. Anyone from Stardock here?
"You need to reinstall, then apply the collector's edition unlock, then patch to 1.2 (if you don't install from SDC that is). DO NOT use the first "Bonus Pack" download on that page if you've already patched, as the content in there is included in all later patches, but if you install that one specifically it will revert you back to a hybrid of 1.0X and 1.2 (thus the crashes and errors)." If you want to do a fresh install with Stardock Central, do you have to apply the colle
Can anyone tell me how morale influences population growth rates after the latest patch? How did it change after the 1.2 etc.. Thanks for the info.
More screenies plz
I think I'm playing the final mission at the moment and still enjoying it. At what difficulty level do you play the game? What was your strategy to finish the campaign?
Hi, Can anyone please explain how population bonuses work? Especially with regard to approval/moral scores? GJ
I think you did not read my post properly
Can someone please explain how you can prevent ships designed in previous games to reappear in a new game? Do you have to delete them manually?
I like the system how it is now. Nonetheless if someone would think up something better I would be interested in that.
Where are the screenies? I want screenies Nonetheless keep up writing stories, I love them
Looks nice keep up the writings!
Please post more report, we like them. Some pictures too (if possible)! How's Galciv2 doing on the show?
I totally agree with the last reply, excellent post. I hope more people will be posting game examples with screenies of course!
Interesting, would be nice if more people posted their experiences.
I really dislike the tactical combat stuff. Please don't waste ur time and money on that. I'm more into the greater picture, the macro stuff. Give me more diplomacy and politics instead! Rather than spending my time on boring tactical battles, I would prefer to decide on strategic issues eitheir domestically or universal. As an economist, I would also prefer to have more economics in the game. Perhaps something with strategic resources for certain weapon types. Keep up the good work guys.
Supreme commander really looks superb. Anyone has seen the trailer. It's awesome!
