Playing as the Korath (Endless Universe 2.02.010) I built the Secret Police Center but it didn't give me an empire wide morale bonus of 20%. I can't tell if the bonus was applied to the planet I built it on though, because I already got 100% there.

The A.I. ship designer constantly creates new designs whenever you researched significant techs and marks older designs deprecated, so you loose them. If you want to keep some early designs, just save them under a different name in the ship designer. BTW, I may be blind but I couldn't find an option to disable the automatic ship designer at all. Is it possible?
2.0 was supposed to be the last update, apart from bugfixes to game-enders. Brad has stated a couple of times that he just can't stop working on GC2, though, so 2.02 may not quite be the end of the line, either.
Okay, thank you. So there is still hope and I wouldn't be too surprised if Brad continued polishing TA before he calls his impressing masterpiece finished.
In any case, we are well past the point where any significant functionality will be added,
Since the 2.02 version is likely to be the last major update, it's very unlikely any of this will ever be corrected though.
Is there an official statement you could point me to? That would be a crime, TA has great potential and would deserve to be tweaked to it's best. It is still a long road to GalCiv3. Right now I am playing my first game on tough in TA. The Torians gave me a tough fight, they declared war on me and had some decent fleets around. They colonize
Let me try to sort things out as far as I understand the situation. You may also want to read my comments on the german GalCiv2 - Endless Universe: https://forums.galciv2.com/328047/page/1/#2003899 The german retail release of the original GalCiv2 Dread Lords (DL) was distributed by Paradox. If you install from disc the game is localized and you can register it on Impulse (Stardock Central before) to get updates. If you download updates from Impulse, it also updates the german
But please don't fix it. It's just too... too... perfect.
Maybe they will fix it "accidently". Often enough the A.I. (intelligent) is begging for help and if I give away some ships I can watch them hanging around several rounds doing nothing.
5. Everything after the decimal point is just cut off, so 2.99999 is still 2. 6. They regenerate to their maximum after every battle round (not turn, eery single battle round!) your ship is alive, only health points need some time after a fight.
I would be interested in an answer to this question.
[e digicons]k1[/e] I also have to comment on the treaties. IMHO there should be a possibility to cancel them as well as the opportunity to get other races to cancel theirs and switch over to deal with you instead. As it is now, A.I. players always help each other very early with treaties and there is no chance for me to get in later.
Just have a look into the wiki: https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Difficulty_level
Of course! Thanks. [e digicons][/e]
Feel free to post some links! [e digicons];P[/e]
Thank you, I found "MainTheme.mp3" under "Kalypso/GalCiv2EU/Event Music" even without Dread Lords installed. There is another folder "Kalypso/GalCiv2EU/DarkAvatar/Event Music" containing "DA_MainTheme.mp3" which is the one currently played when I enter GalCiv2. Seems like they use the same beginning and ending for their loop, so rather than just copying over I will put them together to have the best of both worlds. [e digicons]:D[/e]
There is no way to tell as player skills differ, but I would start with "Challanging" for your purpose and give it a try. It also may help you to have a look into the overview on difficulty levels at the wiki: https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Difficulty_level
Hi, is there a way to get the lovely Dread Lords theme song back into ToA? I have both Dread Lords and Endless Universe (DA+ToA) registered on Impulse, so copying files over could maybe help, but I need some advice. Thanks a lot puntarenas
Having bought Endless Universe only recently after playing DL over a year ago, I feel a bit sad at the state of the forum. Especially as there seem to be many changes in TA (2.x).
Not only the forum, it seems the Wiki is also not up to date (yet?). I also missed the search function and it was a real pain to find out about changes in ToA and 2.0 if you didn't follow the beta versions. Now having my first g

Funny enough Stardock didn't polish the user interface, things that drove me mad in Dread Lords are still there and you know what, it was li
I finaly got the German version of GalCiv2 Endless Universe and played around a bit, here is what I found out: I could register Endless Unviverse in Impulse. I was able to install without the game disc directly via Impulse. Impulse installs version "2.02.010 English "then, no german translation included and no option to choose your language. I was able to install the game from disc (version 1.97.001 German). I consider it unplaya

I am confused. I bought the boxed german version from Paradox to have a localized game, but it turned out the translation was not up too far. Nevertheless I had a lot of fun with the game as it could be easily registered on Stardock Central to get the english original instead. Unfortunately purchasing Dark Avatar and Twilight of the Arnor didn't turn out to be straight forward now. I don't care which is the cheapest distribution, but I don't want to buy it twice b
Very informative thread. I was confused about all that releases and the german translation too. I didn't play GalCiv2 for a long time, but I think I will get the Endless-Universe bundle now as soon as Patch 2.0 is final. On the other hand I somehow agree with Captain-Shiny. As a owner of the Paradox version it feels a bit unfair not to get the best translation availiable. The german translation coming with the Paradox version is... lets be polite and say there is no german trans
Was I blind or did it happen recently? Great job, it looks nice but unfortunately is still missing at forums.galciv2.com.
1) The beta so far works like DA, and no major changes to the combat system have been announced.
Okay, that means I will have to try it out, although the description and analysis of ship combat in Dark Avatar scare me off. I know it's all about taste, but I personally found defense too weak in Dread Lords and I really dislike building huge fleets of cheap little fighters. Hi again, I didn't play for more than a year now, but the feeling is coming back and with a lot of spare time in January the release of Twilight of the Arnor would just perfectly fit in. Unfortunately, the balance between Defense and Attack in ship combat was the most annoying part of Dread Lords to me and it seems, things got even worse with Dark Avatar: [link="https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Ship_combat"]galciv.wikia.com[/link] [I]The end result is: * Whil
Hmm, I tried your suggestion and the manuals paper is just too rough for my sweet booty. Maybe that will be addressed within some special edition of "Dread Lords", "Dark Avatar" will unfortunarely be digitally distributed only. On the other hand you can always printout the PDF-manual on some kind of soft paper, it should work for "Dark Avatar" as well. Finally I come to the conclusion that you can easily find better and cheaper ways to keep your back clean, but it's still h
Just for the record, I also cannot create new posts with Firefox and using Internet Explorer ist neither an option under Linux (I don't like wine) nor under Windows (I hate backdoors, viruses, ...). It's no problem to answer to existing posts, but unfortunately quoting doesn't work for me any more. Maybe it would be a good idea to stop development for this forum-software and put all your efforts into something you really know how to do: GalCiv2! Don't take me too
