Dear German GalCiv2 fans, lots of us were a bit disappointed with the so called German localisation Paradox sold to us. I really like Paradox and I had a lot of fun playing some of their great strategy games (HoI2 is one of the best games ever!), but this really sucks. Because GalCiv2 also is one of the "Best games ever", we need a proper german translation. Please help to find and correct errors I brought in while whiping out those braindead formulations, annoying spel
Once we're past that, a music pack would be something which would attract my attention. Something with a bit more omph! to it. The menu music is nice, but then it all gets a bit bland after that. I second that! First to your Journal, I really enjoy reading it and being informed about your proge
I didn't recognize that, but now that you pointed me on the capitals location, I would hate Stardock for moving it to Northern America I will have an eye on this.
Ok, thats strange. I tried to play my first metaverse game and it told me to create a character first. Firefox (1.5.02) started and all I got to see was a blank black page with your pages frame around and the "Buy GalCiv2" button on top. My idea to improve it would be to make it so that when you invade a planet and capture a tech - you can only capture a tech that is available for you to research - that way you would get a bonus but not a massive game changing one (which gives an incentive to get your planets captured, just so you can get an amazing tech) </T
It is a sad story, but the big paper magazines in Germany (e.g. www.gamestar.de) all rated GalCiv2 very low too. That beeing said, on the other hand Germany has a strong fan culture for complex strategy games and while the magazines tend to push the EA "blockbusters", the fans know all is not gold that glitters. I was happy to tryout the demo version and after that I ordered GalCiv2 last tuesday and cannot wait to start a game, espacial
After spending goes to advanced, any additional spending is wasted, so it would be nice to automatically reduce the spending to 0 at that point though. Please don`t do it SD, would be braindead. Instead of that, you should fall back if you quit spending money and maybe it should just become more expensive t
Question: what is the estimated time for the localized versions (specifically: the German one)? I second that, would be nice to know. Unfortunately the german translation for 1.0 is a show stopper to me. I know it is not your fault and having good experiences with Paradox makes me believe the
