It also worked with Firefox 1.5 under Linux for me, but it didn't with Firefox 1.5 under Windows XP...

Well, from what I understand from that statement is that double clicking on stacked ships in the shipyard box in the planet minidisplay (I don't knnow how else to put it!) will open the planet display? I was afraid of this, too. It turned out that doubleclicking in the planet minidisplay still launches the
Well, from what I understand from that statement is that double clicking on stacked ships in the shipyard box in the planet minidisplay (I don't knnow how else to put it!) will open the planet display? That would mean I have to click the "launch" button for every ship, which would really suck?! Anyway, can't wait to try the AI improvement
Please redesign tech trading, as it is now it is annoying and I always turn it off, because the AIs trade like crazy and so every AI race has nearly the same techs. There are several ideas around the forum, just to allow selling techs you researched yourself is one good example, I also like the Idea of trading blueprints (which would be easy to combine). Second, or maybe most important, fix the auto focus behavior. I've read it's not a bug, it's a feature, so please give us an o
They made the additional content available to anyone who patches, so it doesn't really matter at this point. Oh, didn't know that. Sounds like a good decision to me, because it would have been a shame if only owners of particular editions could use all shipmods.

Just a minor UI glitch, but it would be nice if selecting an already built improvement on the planet map would also result in selecting the corresponding entry in the build order (if there is one). This way one could easily click on a particular improvement, stop the upgrade process and choose another one.
I wonder if they play GalCiv2 in their entertainment centers ...
The only thing I dislike a bit is that the bonuses don't show at the details of a particular improvement (e.g a NLC on a 100% research tile should show 44 research if I click on it) but this shouldn't be addressed until the devs have really nothing else to do and feel very bored ...
Stop it! Stop it! The game is perfect as it is! Exactly, I'm going to downgrade to 1.0x at once ... I think unblinded1 is right about that, but WHY DO YOU HAVE TO SHOUT?
I was also wondering about the Galactic Privateer. I built (in fact I bought) one a few turns before I started a war with the drengins, to keep my traderoutes with the humans, that were right on the other side of the Drengin empire, save. As I declared war, all trade routes with the humans were mentioned to be no longer profitable, too dangerous, ... So if it's only useful for peaceful regions, what is its use anyway?
Thank you, that sounds right. I bought a boxed version so (maybe?) I don't have a TNG account and therefore no TNG serial number
I'm missing your comment on the (overpowered?!) nano ripper, how about that weapon?
I feel exactly the same. While there is not all gold that glitters (some UI glitches, Artwork...), a non cheating AI was the major point for me to buy this excellent game. I'm really glad that GalCiv2 seems to be a commercial success for Stardock, so they are able to continue their good work.
I don't mind upgrading them manually, but I think neutral is a bit overpowered at all. The NLCs really rock research and as neutral player you even don't have to spend time into the soil enchancement tree, you'll get cthe complete enchancements for free.

Hi, unfortunately GalCiv2 never crashed for me before, so I was glad when it happend yesterday, because I wanted to have a look at my debug.err file Ok, the messages before it crashed were "Debug Message: Unallocated Mem: 8 bytes of memory from line 1144 of .\Source\editfields.cpp". Sounds like it has something to do with GalCiv2s memory management and I know they work to improve it, so no problem.
try masochistc. Well, maybe not masochistic at first, but try "tough", so all AI opponents will be set to "Intelligent" and the AI does its best to kick you without cheating ...
maybe sombody should email the sales charts to Starforce..... I think they know how useless and annoying their crap is, they are just used to marketing blahblah... and FUD. Anyway, good idea ...
Well, the humans shared their hyper drive technologie, so my people was able to produce those fancy starships. When we first meet the humans then, we aren't able to communicate because we need to research the universal translator first. How did we ever understand the complexity of hyper drive then?
I think a lot of players would welcome this feature and that makes it a good idea ... but would you maybe add a more comfortable way to take screenshots for my own AARs first? Just save screenies automaticly in some folder and name them like [stardate]-[screen]-[nr.].bmp, this would really help. Some more in-game artwork would also be great to "spread the word" and I would really like to have an option for viewing planets and the minimap in fullscreen... Nevertheless, this
You really deserve it, great game. Just one thing, if this guy from EA knocks upon your door to buy the company... don't open!
if it only removed the functional components Strange, that's exactly how it works here and I can toggle the behavior (remove functional items or keep them) at the options screen. Did you update to 1.1?
In Germany it's on the 2nd CD...
I'm sorry, because I asolutely have no idea. I once tried just to copy the directory with the german translations into the english Beta4a and it didn't recognize it, so I had to install from the german CD again. Maybe someone else knows if there is a way to get it working?
