As far as RTS space games go, it's one of the more complex ones out there. Naturally, it can't hold a candle to TBS games like the GalCiv or Space Empire series.... As a constant headache sufferer with migraines thrown in that can last upwards of a week, I've found what helps me to get through the best (by no means does i

I get migraines on a fairly regular basis, although they've been less frequent the last year or so. Before, I use to get them at least once a week. Now I only get them maybe once every month or every other month. Generally speaking, eating something and then taking 2-3 ibuprofen (Advil) does the trick for me -- this is especially true if I do this when the migraine is still in its early stages. If I don't do anything until the migraine has reached full strength

If you're looking for a real-time strategy game set in space, get Sins of a Solar Empire. If you like turn-based strategy, you can't get much better than Galacitic Civilizations 2!

Heh. Loved it when Brad's daughter walked in. [e digicons]:D[/e] Also, I believe Brad has now dubbed a new term: "Mordor-y". Hee!

Good question, Cikomyr . I guess I'd had it in the back of my mind that there could be 12 nations on any given map (since there will be 12 factions), but there's really no reason to assume that. As GW Swicord pointed out, GalCiv 2 only had 10 slots for 12 (major) races, so who knows for sure? I would dearly love to be able to have dozens of nations on a single map, but that may not be possible (or at least practical).

But if they included an event calander with Elemental as well, one that records a variety of information, tech research, battles, victories, defeats, heroes recruited and their advance ment, quests, etc, with filters so that the player can exclude items based on when they occured or the type of event, I think that would b

[quote who="Aesir Rising" reply="17" id="2095188"]How important will leaders play in terms of outcome for specific battles? Are the devs envisioning leaders as epic tide-turners? Personally, I'd prefer it to be the latter and not the former -- there've been too many strategy games where

I really, really hope that we'll be able to withdraw from combat if the fight isn't going well or we just don't like the odds. It's a pet peeve of mine that some strategy games (including GalCiv2, unfortunately) don't give you an option for your forces to retreat from battle, and that the only choices are literally "victory or death". Whatever happened to discretion being the better part of valor? ;) One of the things I've always liked about the Total

Wow. I think this might the first game I've ever come across where the MP portion sounds like it could be just as fun as the SP portion. Seriously, I suddenly find myself actually *wanting* to try this out (which for me is unprecedented -- I've nearly always stuck to singleplayer only). That's just way too cool, Brad.
