Oh wow I only found out about the promo ending 6 days ago this morning! I wish I could save $10 dollar however as it is I have some big purchases upcoming this Nov I may have to delay getting Rebellion or come up with something. I always planned to pre-order. However the problem was I didn't check Sins of a solar empire website that very often lately. I have been watching out for Sword of the Star 2, Heart of the Swarm, Skyrim, and Distant World: Legend on top of Rebellion. So man

I did bit of research on my own and using one of the guide posted. For those who missed that guide link. http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/af150/The_FalconO6/CurrentLogicalPCBuyingGuide/Guide.png I like those two Asus phenom II x4 965 black edition + Asus m4A89GTD pro. Will this setup tide me through direc

First off I want to change my firewall software since it seem to be unresponsive most of the time and even sometime prone to epic fails. The old one is MCAfee that I had as a part of bundle from a long time ago. I like to play computer games a lot so resource hogging is not a good thing. Second Question, I am planning to upgrade my motherboard this summer to a Window 7 ready cpu/graph card. I already have a directx 11 video card on hand. So PCI-E 16x is a must since it
Well, all of the acceleration is hand-waved away in the SotS-verse. I think the fastest STL travel that ship is capable of going is .5c with a year's worth of acceleration. So "smashed to tomato-like paste" isn't very likely. Personally, I think this design is a massive improvement over the ones in SotS1. It looks far more robust and beefy, and dare I say, even more deserving of the term "metal box". Hmmm

That an interesting idea using 4 hard drive but I am not at my computer nor anywhere nearby to check. I remember it only had 2-3 extra Sata plug no idea about the motherboard/cpu. I already plan to use an external hard drive that has an automatic backup feature on top of my soon to be replaced internal hard drive. The external hard drive will not be used as the main one but to back up data. I am not too worried about speed my previous hard drive was 460 mb *don't recall rpm/buffer* but the on

File size is roughly 530 MB so I have good reasons for deleting it. I even have it installed and running fine. But this is the download file and would not delete because each time I attempt something it came up with crc error. Which is odd since I did virtually nothing to it until I remember that I don't need it anymore after running it once *installer*. What have tried so far: Delete/copy/rename under DOS Delete/copy under Window XP SP 3 Using the Move

There is a neat trick you might want to know about. NOT a cheating one. You know that your ork mek can teleport correct? just walk him up to where the slag *purple dot where you build power plant thingie* then teleport him on the opposite side. You can do the same with jumping/teleport eldar even the builder alone is enough to get the victory. Same for chao with chaos horrors and deep strike where availabe. Sadly imperial doesn't get this easy work around.

If you are not controlling the ork from the beginning they will be control by AI same for chaos. I might be wrong as it has been long time since I last play winter assault.

I didn't made any mod as I am not really a big time programmer. *studying Computer Engineer in college* Most of my coding experience are limited to Ada/vhdl, c++ and java. Although I could try reading LUA but then again heh. You might have been thinking of Sorian or any other of the many modders.

Yeah I went back as far as the original vanilla supcom beta when they had this crazy AI that if give enough factories and energy would go all out experimental each 2 or 3 mins forcing you to use nukes to get the field even out hahah. BTW my name over at gaspowered is Xavior.
i mean no disrepect to sorian, his AIs were tremendous. but FA is just too deep and complex and awesome to code an adequate AI for. you could never teach an AI the intricacies of micro or strategising in supcom. just impossible. ironically i think if the AI in supcom 2 is really good, its because supcom 2 isn't a very good game.
Yes one of the thing I liked about Sorian AI is that they will actually use their ACU in combat

Hahah FA was one of the fewest game actually got me to playing multiplayer for a while up to 1800 point if I remember right. Been a long time since too bad the experiment expansion, mention in passing by chris taylor on GPG chat client, was cancel and the whole THQ not responding on the lastest 'beta' patch. I think THQ is being either lazy or just afraid that they might get a lawsuit over not doing testing and all.
Well if the PC and console versions are the same, it will probably just get units en mass and shove them at the enemy... And the maps seem to be small so you aren't even a half a mile away from your enemy :/
Well keep in mind that so far they only have show us what maybe 5 maps? Out of how many in the full game? In the game demigod, with the same game engine, has map that even with supe

I will agree that sorian AI still does has it own weakness being an AI and all. I agree with thebigone as you do not even have the entire raw dps/stat data from video. Most of the video/trailer they present for review/whatever are often 'staged' to show case what can happen however not practically. Would you really sit around for 15 min so you can have 50 experimentals duking it out on seton's clutch? The wrecks in the middle of seton's clutch was based off a review battle just an int

Wow the hate toward the new economy mdoel of Supcom 2 is rather high in here. A community member of Gaspowered Games forum joined Supcom 2, His handler name is Sorian and he is famous for creating a very competitive like ranked AI for supcom and forged alliance, say that the economy wasn't 'dumbed' down as most people here claim it to be. He even play it and said that the speed is overally the same as supcom if not exact same. One of the bigggest reason why they dropped the pay as you

Seem too similar to SM 3. Their builder looks talks weird and appears to have some sort of pain fetish 0_o wtf? I must say my favourite army are the Necrons but just because... well I dunno I just always liked the idea of unstoppable metal skeletons firing green laser

They are already doing a MoM sequal known as elemental war of magic jesse dylan. I think the main reason why they went with a whole new IP is due to the fact that the owner of the MoM IP would not let stardock do a sequal.
