Yes, please! This has been a weird problem with Stardock games since at least GalCiv II. The important part here isn't the gameplay element of defense bonuses and so on... it's the constant nagging of the player.

Me too. Alt Tab now always returns this error. Previously (perhapse before Day 0, maybe also with Day 0) I could alt-tab and get back in about 80% of the time.
In order to abuse rings and such you need to spend 10s of thousands of gold on it. If you instead spent the same amount on units you would crush the champ with all those rings no problem.
Not with the +1 Line of Sight ring. That's chump change.

But stacking the same ring over and over feels very exploitative. Especially the line of sight one... you can spend 200 gildar on some level one Researcher and leave him parked in the middle of the kingdom. The whole map is completely revealed to you. I think ring and amulets make a lot of sense from a game balance perspective. A simple fix would be to not allow identical items to stack with themselves. You can wear every single ring and amulet i
Quoting Foslex, reply 34I have looked and looked but I cannot find the Turn Number indicator anywhere. Lots of people post on the forums and seem to know which turn they are on. How do they know this? It's the hourglass icon on the upper right.
Thank you.

Female soverign, married Janusk. I guess he's not picky? I think that this was possible in the pre-release, but not with the Day 0 patch. In any event, I start asking NPCs to marry me as soon as I recruit them, and take the first one who says yes. Any benefit having a higher level NPC spouse might convey to your children is lost on me, since it takes too long to get children anyway. Also, is there a way to check how much reputation an

I hope this thread takes off... the zillion "my personal nitpick" threads must be hard to keep track of. Here's the notes I've been taking over the past couple of days. Some are nitpicky, some I feel are a bigger deal. I'd like to point out I wouldn't bother posting these at all if I weren't enjoying the game and didn't genuinely expect it to improve. A bigger and better indicator for a unit's remaining movement points would be a great help.&nbsp

What's frustrating is that even though the children's ages go up much more quickly than their parents, is that it still takes FOREVER for them to grow up at all. I have played several games for a couple of hours and still not had a baby older than 13 or 14, with Fast pace and getting married on turn 1.

I ran all day yesterday with very few crashes and errors. This morning with the micro update I can't play more than two or three turns without crashing. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10549639/Elemental1_05-2010-08-25T10-59-17-606.zip http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10549639/Elemental1_05-2010-08-2

X-Mouse Button Control is a little program I used to get around this for DragonAge. It lets you reassign various mouse functions to key presses, on a program by program basis. I just tried setting it up for Elemental, with wheel up set to = and wheel down set to -. Works just fine. :) Of course, I believe it should still be fixed. But for the time being it will let folks like me play the beta comfortably. http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMouseB

I have the same issue Comfort Optical Mouse 3000. It has made navigating the map frustrating enough to turn me off to the beta, with the assumption that it'll be fixed by release. Each new beta I play for a few minutes, become frustrated at the mouse, decide it'll get fixed, and quit until the next release.

I much prefer that the units size stay fixed to the landscape, and get smaller as I zoom out. Slightly related... The zoom on my system is very herky-jerky. The entire game runs smoothly, but when I start to zoom the movement is delayed, and as I continue to zoom the effect "sticks" occasionally.
