It would be really helpful if you could provide the data outlined here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/415288 Your post is the only memory leak post we have seen or have had reported and we know nothing about your configuration or settings.

The betas won't show up on Impulse. Updates will be on both download.stardock.com and whenever Stardock Central makes it out of internal beta.
Quoting WhiteElk, reply 26Thats true. Item #5 has language relating to tactical battles. We'll soon see :~) Brad said he barely worked on it so don't get your hopes up. This isn't a dig at Brad, but to make sure people know that it'll still be braindead like WoM 1.40 is
It's not really related to WOM 1.4 since the systems are so different. It's just been set up so that i
We have a poll up for those of you who would like to vote on your experiences overall with FE Beta 1: https://www.elementalgame.com/journals
If you run into a problem, like a game crash there will be a file in your \programdata\stardock\elemental – fallen enchantress direcotry. It’ll be a ZIP file which will contain a debug.err (always helpful) and a crash dump file. Send that to us at subject: Fallen Enchantress report. Also, if you have some sort of issue like even getting the game to start or something, in your \documents\my games
you seem to be missing the point, it doesn't matter if its what was meant to drive the economy or not, right now its the only real economy. the patch doesn't fix the game, it breaks it more. 3-5 bucks for a lowly wolf, so that worthless 90 dollar staff(for some reason you upped back to 90 from the 43 you had it at before) now takes atleast 18 wolf npcs to pay for it? or 18 turns, if'n you have no other expenses and a gold mine, just for 1 crappy stick, not even
Thank you for your offer, I'll make sure Brad sees this.
There was a change made to recruiting that lacks adequate UI feedback. NPCs, like notable locations and quests, have a spawn rating. Previously, you could recruit NPCs of any spawn rating level but the cost was multiplied by the difference between your NPC spawn level and their spawn level. Now, however, it prevents you from being able to recruit. However, there is no visual cue as to why you can't recruit them. This behavior has been classified as a bug and will be addres
So you would prefer that you be forbidden from recruiting certain NPCs until you have sufficient adventuring tech versus paying more for NPCs that you don't have the tech?
1. Food resources have been increased because merchants now require 1 food to use. 2. Watch Tower was brought back because they are a useful early game item that offsets some of the early game Imperial improvements.
Greenreaper doesn't work on the games side, he's involved in enterprise R&D. British humor is not always easily translatable in text.
No, I can't. As I posted in its own thread, it was not until I encountered the 6th champion that one was recruitable at all. The first 5 had no "Recruit" nor even "talk to" icon under "Actions" if I had the NPC champion selected. They are completely unrecruitable. 1.08 CHANGELOG ADDENDUM: + Most -- well over half -- of the heroes in the game world are no longer recruitable by anyone.
Are you going from a saved game from a previous version or is this on a new game?
We'll take a look. I think longbows are supposed to be 4 but short bows are supposed to be 3 instead of 30.
Quoting SirFlak, reply 18Yes they made the monsters worth less but they made it very likely you'd have a gold mine right next to your start area so I feel like that balances fine. 5 gilder per turn balances out the loss of hundreds per turn? how? i know the nice stardock person said monster farming was never meant to fuel an economy...but then what IS supposed to fuel the economy? and what is the point of
Make sure the maps are in your my games\elemental\maps directory.
We are investigating why this would be the case.
I started a freshgame. The magic is much more powerful. I dropped 7 enemy units with one blizzard. I think I did 13 to most of them. In previous version I used to just miss or do like 2 damage. This is much kewler and actually worth casting spells now. Yes they made the monsters worth less but they made it very likely you'd have a gold mine right next to your start area so I feel like that balances fine. My starting town after some adven
start a new game. magic seems to be teh pwnage now. which is cool. because the game is called war of magic. but other changes seem to have made game worse. 75% reduction in gold from monsters + no ability to speed up tactical combat = 1.08 FAIL
It was not intended for players to fund their economy via monster farming. We do have an option to turn
Its up and still as unpolished as ever. I'm still maintaining hope though!
Could you provide more detail on what you consider unpolished so that we can address this? Thanks!
Stardock's ongoing goal with Elemental is to continue to integrate concepts from great games, particularly, MOM. One of the challenges I've heard discussed is that MOM was able to get away with low resolution sprite graphics. By contrast, today, people expect high resolution 3D models for everything which drives up the cost a great deal. My understanding is that the team wants to bring in more and more concepts from MOM while maintaining some of the things that make Elem
I think they'll agree. Has anyone tried doing one without a node to see what happens?
We are very well aware of the challenges Elemental faces. There is nothing constructive in what you posted. We are committed to making sure Elemental lives up to its potential even if it means significant game play changes.
We are going to be opening up a web based mod area in the next week or so.
We agree too. This week you should start to see the release of web based XML tools (first for reading, later for writing) for manipulating and seeing how the XML works together.
