Quoting Supreme Shogun, reply 9 To OrionM42 - it's even worse you only get $15 for that $1500 axe not $150... Supreme Shogun, your comment has surprised me very much ! You are saying that you are only getting 1% of the listed value of an item, when you sell it in the shop ??? In the game I am currently playing, I can still get 10% of the listed value of an item, if I sell it.
Agree with OP and also agree with Heavenfall's take on the map size dictating some item levels.
This would seem like an excellent next step. While I have been really enjoying .913 (Magic user, challenging, large map), it is a bit frustrating to not be able to get to the higher level spells. Since the leveling rewards are now random no matter what path you take, it can take 3 or 4 levels to even get a magic choi
I've noticed that also happens when casting Arcane Monolith. Since I'm playing as a Wizard & using spells vs mundane, I thought it was just an added bonus of the spell. Should have known better. Derek, if you fix the Outpost bug, please leave the magic version. I'm of the opinion that magical results should always be bigger & badder than mundane.
Played about 6 hours yesterday. Challenging (all settings), Large map, Balanced, Dense & epic, 7 opponents. Custom Sov, Magic (Enchanter). Game has been rock steady - not a single crash to report. (Win7 64, i7-2600, 8GB DDR3, GT530 2GB) I'm up to Fall 264 (season 423). I've taken out 2 other Sovs (Magnar & Queen Procipinee) by getting them to surrender. I like the fact that they're now my vassals (champions), but it wou
Just barely started playing 0.913 and am already seeing some strange behavior. The two three champions my custom sov has found (Iriel, Jesselde and Irwin) all cast Haste on themselves automatically at the start of tactical combat, even though one of the two doesn't even have Air Apprentice as a trait.
Look closer, that's not haste. It's a spell called Noble Legacy & it's part of the new Faction differenti
Actually your English is quite good, better than some here for whom it's supposedly their primary language! [e digicons]k1[/e] Map size and difficulty setting have huge impacts on how the game plays. I find large maps @ challenging is the setting that allows me to check out how the Beta plays well into middle/end game. Also I like to utilize the Magical aspects of the game more than the mundane. I custom design my Sov to be a power
I think you mean "Pawnshops" not "Porn shops". [e digicons]}:)[/e]
Remember - "Ctrl N" resets your starting position without going back to the main menu. There is no shame in looking for an optimal start position. That's exactly what you would do if you could take the time to wander the world before picking a place to settle. You'd better pick a good place to start now, because the world is truly out to get you.
We've all been asking for the Monsters & AI players to give us a challenge. I think Derek & Brad have delivered. The game really made me think for the 1st time.
Was able to play about an hour last night. 1) all settings @Challenging 2) Large Map 3) Custom Sov Continued to be very stable for me - no crashes to report. Monsters more aggressive. AI doing much better job finding & taking goodies. Leveling up for Sov & champions slower but not crippling. Just have to watch what I attack. AI seems to be able to handle harder Monster groups. Magnar just declared
Wildland are awesome on large maps. They offer unique and difficult challenges. Do not attempt to clean one out unless you are a powerful wizard or have a very, very, very good (and large) army with you.
And no need to troll about Haste. It still increases Initiative as intended, just won't bug out and give you a free turn when cast.
Wah!!!!!!!!!! It was so cool to be able to hasten my entire Sov/Champion stack & cast 5 other spells all before the A.I. could even move. It truly made me feel like the most powerful wizard in the world. Of course, until Brad gets the A.I. to learn how to actually us
This isn't a quest, I didn't save at that point, but if you attack the Slag (and he's supposed to be very vulnerable to fire damage) you'll see what we mean. I had 3 champions quay up Flamewave & then started casting Haste to speed up the process, much to my chagrin. He died by the sword very nicely. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16706254/Jim_912_4_29.EleSav I have a latter sav
Derek - I was playing a game this weekend where I tried to use Flamewave & didn't see any damage. I actually had 3 or 4 champions + Sov cast it and nothing happened. The flames were displayed but no damage was done. I keep all my saves, so I'll find one & send it in when I get home tonite.
Did you try saving the update instead of running it and then going to the directory where the .91 update was saved & running it from there? That's worked a couple of times for me when the internet autoupdate has given me problems.
Played for another 2 hours last night. No crashes & no bugs. What am I doing wrong?
Strange - I played for about an hour with no problems of any kind. Make sure you guys send in your crash logs so they can see whats up.
Pioneers are only allowed to build cities on locations which have grain as a resource. There is a button in the upper right hand corner that will reveal resources on the map.
Dude - Have actually ever seen a naked women? That's close but no cigar (no cameltoe either). [e digicons]}:)[/e]
Well, the FE article is very positive. I would think Brad is pretty happy with it.
It's gonna be awhile, but sounds like it'll be packed with lots of new stuff to try. https://forums.elementalgame.com/420317
Frogboy - I think almost everyone playing the Beta agrees FE has already surpassed E:WOM in every category. Are there websites that those of us who don't post outside your forum can help with? Bad News is sad because we really want to see what's next, but we'll be here when you're ready for our input.
Thank you both for your help. I have been posting crashes including links to the requested files and so-far have been able to also include Save files which duplicate the crashes. I shall persevere and see how things develop. I was interested to hear that WoM (which I do not have) had difficulties with high-end machines though. Do you know what caused them, M'lord?
WOM used Pixel shader 2. This was
Okay, this one may be too obvious, but just in case you missed it. Main Menu, Options, Gameplay, middle column, bottom, check - use mods.
Pretty much agree with all except #5. Roads don't care who uses them. That's why retreating armies have destroyed roads & bridges throughout history.
