Hey it could be worse GPG is not FC
I can easilly forgive a "slow start" if they indeed add stuff they promosied and improve the game in the short term. I would love to have an offical armory/database for Demigod on the main site.

That would do a lot to improve performance on some machines without making the actaul gameplay look crummy.
"Lazy" pure firbuilds play with staff of renewal and fireball at 5s cooldown. You simply don't have time to change form late game if you don't want to gimp yourself.
Well you don't need to be pure fire to do that.
Everyone has experienced some Pantheon/Skirmish matches that they waited forever and it sticks them with AI. So they figure why bother so everyone plays Customs, which makes the problem even worse because less people try to queue up for Skirmish/Pantheon, which is where the competative play should be happening.
DaBoob_1
Hey yeah, I played a game with him today. Things were pretty even but when things got grim for his team he dropped. I was like, "Why do people still drop when there is a perfectly good Concede button now"...oh that's right, stat exploiting...
Frogboy was right about stat tracking accuracy and he was wrong about removing custom ranks completely. Instead the rankings need to be tightened up in conjunction with stat tracking improvements, and every player needs a reliable way to check stats. As a long-term goal removing custom game rankings make sense, but only when team auto-matching is impelmented.
Tottaly agree here. Custom games should be the place to go and "fool aroun
I usually go Hybrid myself. Using the Added speed from Fire Aura to help kite with Fireballs is interesting, but I do think there are better builds for the TB. I would be more inclined to try it out myself but with that Fire Mode Auto-attack "bug" I always find it's better to battle in Ice Mode. Especially with the damage buff. Which is why I prefer Permafrost. In my build I'm jsut in Fire mode long enough to do a quick Fireball/Fire Nova and it back to Ice mode. Seems
This is also my first post, because I really felt I had to say this: the more items, demigods, and mods that get created, it seems to me the harder it will be to keep the almost perfect balance that I believe the game currently has. It's one of the things that has impressed me most, and I realize that the game needs to keep growing and changing, but I am also sure that the balance will eventually be thrown off.
I thought mods will only be something you
Wow, this patch looks great. This and New Demigods by the end of August was sooner than I expected. Excellent!
Like I said, its not a big deal, but would it have killed them to give us some heads up regarding this? Pretty sure they decided in advance what they were going to do.
Eh...what would a heads up do? Besdies give someone on the forums a chance to start this thread before the patch was released?
Plus it's not like getting the Favor points saved up was a pain. You get it by playing the game. Playing the game is fun. What's the problem?
I think it's great...it's just in an awful spot. I should be towards the lower left. Having it right in the middle like that is kinda annoying.
I don't see why they had to reset favor. Resetting the statistics was to purge the losses-that-were-not-losses from the record. I don't see what favor had to do with this.
How about this, I had half the Achievements unlocked for demigods I never played. I'm glad they are reset. I'd like to use Favor items I actaully earned through playing...not a bugged/borked system.
Yeah it's with ice mode. I could have sworn this never happend before 1.1 though.
To me, micro is important. I would rather them close the distance and fire, and I can manualy stop my DG at max range, rather than he do it himself and me have to force it to close the distance.
True, but how do you make him attack who you want when you are more worred about posistion?
I like the new one, I just wish I could move it down farther on the screen.
At first I thought it was way over nerfed. I thought maybe just increasing it's cost and moving it to the Artifact shop would be enough. The more I think about it, it seems like the best way to go. Making this item expensive enough to keep it as an "End game" artifact. Plus it was buffed to compensate for the cost increase. So one could say the only thing that was truly nerfed was it's cool down time. Not so much a nerf, but a repositioning.
Why is a "Random" selection such a big deal? Can't you just do "Enee, menee, minee, moe?"
Ok, the Random Demigod is a "opps". The Favor point reset was intended. (I had half my achievements unlocked for demigods I didn't even play, favor was borked) And the thing about the Chat window is just your opnion. I think it's an improvement, I Just wished it was moved down a bit. I don't know how a bugged minor feature like Random Demigod is such a big deal and worth getting so upset about.
Is it just mean or did the Torch Bearer's attack range get reduced. I just played a game and it seemed like my TB would get way to close to my enemy before he started attacking.
them costing 33 gold was ridiculus, exp however should not be lower. there still should be some risk to upgrades, and it's a very minor one. their xp value earlier was fine, i don't know of anyone who complained about it
Should dig a little deeper in the forums then. Pre 1.1 atleast, buying Priests early was never a good thing. You'd only buy Priest when doing the jump to catapults all at once.
I am surprised that more people do not agree with you about these two abilities. Rook really got the short end of the stick on this one. Compare level four abilities...
You can't compare abilities directly to determine balance alone. You have to look at the Demigod as a whole. Synergy with other skills and attributes can make them better dispite the fact that the numbers aren't perfectly "equal"
I think it safe to say that Butcherski's view of the game would be the opposite of "mindless fanboy". Some of what he says is true, but a bit exagerated.
No modding whatsoever. Having diversity and fighting a different opponent in every different part of the map is more interesting than fighting the same demigod over and over again with the same tactic for the next 10~40 minutes. After the 2 free demigods they promised, and maybe the possiblity of a map or two (and a map editor that doesn't invovle complicated 3d rendered backgrounds) I would just rather pay for a bundled expansion that has like 4 new demigods a bunch new maps, and perhaps a new game mode (something drasticely differenet) Especailly if it takes so much time anyways. But if I had no other choice. I'd probably play 5$ for 2 more on top of that.
