i agree with you. i never want to hit the end if at all possible. i understand that you just cant keep getting improvements to your cities. but more passive improvements would help. the main problem i see is in balancing tech for the small maps vs large maps. on a tiny or small map you should never see the end, on the biggest maps, you should still be getting new stuff 200 to 300 turns in. this is important.

yeah this would be a fun addition. i wish they would go back to having the units start at the edge of the maps as oppose to being near the middle. make terrain alter line of sight. this way you could sneak some guys around that forest and you wouldn't see them.
i am curious, are you going to be able to save games in multiplayer, and then load the game back up with the same players at a later time? this is a VERY important feature for me. i know alot of people may take this for granted, but this is an absolute must if we are going to be playing on larger maps. most people can't dedicate the time needed to play these large maps. i want to be able to play the same game with my friends over the cou
i have a couple of menu item requests. 1. i would like a preview of the world map before i start the game, and a button to generate another. so that i can see what i am about to play. i also want a random map setting as well, so i won't know what i am about to play if that is my choice as well. 2. i want a way to set the rarity of my resources.&
having a resource to be mined in one city and then shipped off and turned into something else in another city is a little to tedious to be dealing with in my opinion. i simply don't see the need for it. i think that specializing cities and whatnot is doable as is, it just needs more balancing to be possible. don't get me wrong, the idea of stockpiling weapons and armor sounds super cool. as far as guild
no, twohawks i am not saying they should get rid of it from the diplotree or anything like that. everything will be exactly as it is now, its just you can spend those points on other things. it gives hard value to it, so that a player can use it. as it is now, you can only use it to influence the AI factions. i want to use it to influence AI npcs, your own people, certian intellegent monsters. basically make it a spendable resource
i have read alot on these forums about peoples concerns about the use of diplomatic currency outside of AI bribery. what i propose is simple and can make diplomacy useful in multiplayer matches as well as give it value to players so that the AI can barter with it as well. simply use it in game as another resource needed to produce things. example. you want
i thought that diplomatic capital also increases your influence by just having it? well if that is true then wouldn't that be a good reason to have it? what about if diplomatic capital(just gonna call it DC) is used by caravans when sent to another player(or AI) cities. maybe having more would give you more resources on the caravans. here's a good idea, wha
its just whenever there is a pop up screen, there are still things going on behind it. you can't see that stuff. not sure what can be done though, i think its a byproduct of the multithreaded design.
the only thing that really gripes me about this game is that sometimes screens that pop up block my view of whats going on. example. i see a group of spiders sitting near an enemy unit. i hit next turn. a screen pops up telling me that my city has gained a level. BEHIND that screen the enemy unit attacked or was attacked by the spiders. one of them was killed. and then whichever unit had won, escaped in
yeah i personally like making single units. it makes sense in the early game. i think its just gonna take a crap load of balancing to get this right. all that is really needed is giving more powerful level ups for champion units.
yeah i concur, the game already flies through the tech. i don't want it to go any faster. as a matter of fact i wish there were 2 levels of slower gameplay. the speed epic as is should be slow, and epic should REALLY be epic. i want my techs to mean something. i don't want to be able to pretty much have all the tech by the time i have 3 cities. what happens on the largest maps? i look forward mostly to play huge maps with ton
i like the idea of being able to spend the diplomatic points you acrue through the embassies. i think this should get a look, even if its for an expansion.
good to hear! look forward to more info.
i don't really like the idea of being able to support an entire civilization with just trade and magic. i think you should be able to win, but wouldn't this sorta make civ obsolete? no i think its fine the way it is. you can already invest in magic so much and have lots of summons to go into combat for you.
- Allow armies to camp in enemy territory. When camped they have a small area of influence and can therefore camp near a resource denying a city from building on it. Awesome idea. This could make battle for resources a lot more fun. Instead of having a hit and run approach (where you run in, blow up the mine, run away, dude builds it again, start over) you can have standing battles over resources.
<span
i think that based on the city level you should have a sort of militia unit if there are no defenders. it seems to me that if a wolf attacked your town of 2000 somebody would try to step up and take it out. a unit should be created with 10 percent of your cities max population for that level. so a city of 2000 should have 1 unit of 200 or maybe 5 units of 20. something like that. also if the militia unit is defeated that amount of people is removed
well, i really don't think this is necessary. they just need to balance the champions more so that they become more powerful. a party of 4 level 5-10 champs should be quite powerful.
game is stuck at turn 116. the end turn button does nothing. loaded up the auto save from turn 110. when reaching 116 end turn button stopped working. i am including the save. Save Game.
well, there are a few things i would like to see. 1. i have already posted this in the ideas section, but to recap. i want alot more kits for customizing units. i love the ranger kits, and the healers kits, but i want more. i need more options beyond just weapons and armor to make unique and interesting units. i want kits and other equipment that gives traits to come from all tech areas. my
lol! that's hilarious.
i think the resources should be nice and random, but i think that a fertile land tile should be used for the starting tile for the sovereign. basically when you start the game, the game places you on a random fertile tile. that's your start location. i don't want the game to always give me a bunch of good stuff, nor do i want the game to evenly distribute stuff across the map. you should have to make due with what you get, and build a st
rings should be limited to 2 on each hand(so 4 rings total). also i would LOVE to see a treasure room, or vault or something you could store stuff in that can be accessed from any town(its a magic vault). this way you could drop off what you don't want to carry, and at the same time pass it on to other champs. as a side feature i would like it so that if you take a town, you get 1 or 2 items from the pl
you guys deserve it. i hope that once you get through the crunch time and release, you can all take a couple weeks off for vacation. we forget that we also owe it to your families as well, can't be easy on them either.
the tactical combat feels alot better now. good job!
