It's boring. Needs a complete overhaul imo. Heroes should cost influence to hire, not gildar. Additional heroes should cost incrementally increased influence. Empire growth should be a dependant factor based on how much influence you have. I put together a suggestion proposal that can be found here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/433096
<p

at first i was not going to buy the expansion map pack, but when you said there were stamps in it as well i will def pick it up for 5 bucks. I care about the stamps only. I will buy anything you guys make that can be incorporated into the random generation of the maps. You guys put together an awesome high quality set of random stamps, items, spells, whatever and i will buy it every time. The more games i play and see new stuff each time the m
+1 here as well
I too don't have any interest in map packs, but i would be very interested in a quest pack or Item pack or something that can be dumped into the game to be thrown into the world during random generation. I love randomly generated things, anything that is created out of my control so that i can discover it really peaks my interest.
yes for a dollar of course. even if i didn't like multiplayer i would pay a dollar for it simply because that's really cheap for a feature that may draw in more people and potential modding community. a 1 dollar investment would have a fast return in the community. you have to look at the big picture here.
i completely agree with really expensive uber equipment. it should be something reserved for small amounts of elite units, and have the regular standing army with stuff like spears and what not. i also hope for much less tile placement. i don't really care for the tile system. i just don't see any benefit, just more tedium. i would much prefer more attractive distinct cites that grow out org
river of blood looks cool!
It would be REALLY nice if we could set the speed of auto resolve in the settings. like perhaps increments of 25%. from 200% speed to 25% speed. i like to sit back and watch it, but its over so fast i really can't tell what happened. Note: i haven't played in the last update or 2. so if its in there now, disregard this.
i like this too. +1
after watching this, i don't get why the AI moves the archers away from an enemy. is there some kind of penalty or something for moving and attacking or for archers attacking inside melee range? if there isn't then there should be. at least make it so that that if you don't move at all then you get an extra attack or something.
i agree, the fog of war should show the status of the object as the last time you saw it.
Well first there needs to be some kind of threat assessment by the AI, but on 2 fronts. 1. First in tactical combat, these is units that are dangerous in that battle. Maybe at the beginning have some sort of numerical value attached to units that represent danger to its units. like maybe if it knows its using a bunc
I think that the best option for injured champions is a place they can go and recover their injuries. Maybe if a certain building is in a town, and they sit idle in the town for a certain amount of time an injury heals, or perhaps there is a special world resource like a magical rejuvenating hot spring and they stay there for a certain amount of time they will recover from injuries. The basic idea being that
My only problem with this is; what do you do with a battered old champion? just let him hang around uselessly? since they can't die then there needs to be something that will restore a champion, like a quest or some sort of expensive spell. just having a gimped character hanging around is not good in my opinion.
Lol, well the people have spoken! The idea is not necessarily an idea i advocate per se; just bouncing some possibilities off you guys. Although i don't think it would require a MAJOR rewrite of the game; but its true it would require bit of work.
ok, so the hot topic it seems is that champions are to overpowered. i can get behind this, they are killing machines mid to late game. My idea is that we take the champions out of the fight. they are still on the battlefield but they enhance an army instead of fight. A generals attributes directly affect the attributes of the army. Magic c
Since champions can't die; atleast not that i am aware of. i think that they should have a maintenance cost that increases with their level. however, this cost can be any number of things, not necessarily gold. it could be that a particularly evil character could want population, or perhaps another wants food. This could be offset with aligning your intentions with their motivations.&nbs
Perhaps the best solution to the heroes / champions thing would be the following: 1. Re-introduce dynasties as an alternative means to generate new champions in long games 2. Allow for a "kill heroes" option for those who want it (so that we can recreate Game of Thrones ) Also, perhaps on an expansion, PLEASE PLEASE let us craft or imbue, choose an icon for and NAME our equipment/weapo
i can get behind this idea. Cities are something that really could use some work. they serve their purpose, but that's it. Every city in the game almost always looks the same. If something can be done that will make each settlement look unique then i think it would help sooooo much.
i can get behind having only a certain amount of mana available for each combat. it does seem a little over powered to have all of your mana available. early game this is a non-issue due to the limited mana, but it could get crazy by mid to late game. this should be in the technology tree; a tech that increases your farcasting ability, or perhaps buildings that that can increase your combat mana. these could be tech buildings or special city l
the tactical battles the way it is seems a little to much like the old musket battles where everybody lines up in a row and fires at each other until one side is all out of people. i want the battlefield to feel a bit more dynamic than that.
Stupid ideas. This isn't the Forgotten Realms and that stupid combat engine "attacks of opportunity". Tactical battles are nice the way they are now. Don't need to go mucking them up with silliness or making them more complicated or long and drawn out.
wow really? you like the battles the way they are now? i admit that it is an improvement but there just isn't alot of strategy in
bumping once for visibility.
might be beating a dead horse here but will there be a 64 bit version of fallen enchantress?
nice narrative, i have hopes that elemental will atleast rival galciv II on the AI front.
