I've read every single reply (I need to game more and read less [e digicons];P[/e] ) It looks like things are on the right track but FAR from finished.... I don't understand Kestrals explanation about combat (square root, dividing...WHAT?? [e digicons]o_O[/e] ). Visualite it dammit! On the good side though, casting times getting implemented (in 1.2 or later) is great! [e digicons]:D[/e]

"Euclidean distance"....yeah....just rolls of the tongue [e digicons];P[/e] Got no idea what it means but I'm always impressed when I see chicks talking about technical things like this.
You're definetly right on this one Brad! And as long as the media has so much power, they can shape our image at will! When I first heard of New Vegas it sounded 100% like L4D2. I'll get'em when they become really cheap since I have no want for them. About the graphics enhancers. Are there a graphicspack yet that's only a single installer or will there be?
I think most people tend to view games scores as simililar to academic grades, where anything less then a 65/100 is a F.
I never have. I also can't, since our academic grades are G, VG and MVG and it's being changed in less then a year to have 13 steps. I wonder if it was american reviewers who started that standard....and now I know it is because of their academic gradesystem....</
From one quick look at f.e. GameSpots reviews and its users, I cannot trust the users as their "reviews" are 5 sentences long. A review must mention pros'n'cons and tell you what works and what doesn't. About professional reviews....I'm looking for a gamereviewersite to become my "home" for gamereviews but it's hard to decide. PCGamer is out of the question because of their "75% from us means 50% from other magazines" <--- Yes they've said that! T
There are plenty of women who use the internet, chat in forums and interact with numerous online communities. Most have learnt not to advertise the fact that they are female to avoid the crap that errupts when little boys with zero accountability are able to write anything they want. To begin with, what's "ingot(s)"? Maybe Master of Magics transmuting would do? If on a 1 for 4 or 5 cost then sure. Could add a faction trait called "Transmute" that increased the trade ratio. Another option could be like the Market from HoMM. The more of the buildings you had the better exchange rates. Whatever you decide upon, make it work.
The price questions are only about the Impulsedriven store. Will there be a Gold Edition that offers Elemental + 1st expansion for the current price of what Elemental costs now? What will the expansions cost? Will Elemental drop in price sometime soon? I'm basically wondering if we will get Elemental and its two expansions (when they're released) for the same price as Elemental costs right now. I would have bought it if I h
Seems Brad was right when he said that in a few years, digital sales will overtake retail (for PC games). I created one of those accounts that recently got created [e digicons];P[/e] Also can't wait for their christmas sale. Got a list of stuff to buy! [e digicons][/e]
I am VERY excited for Diablo III! [e digicons]:D[/e] The melee classes with their abilities look so fun to play. In Diablo II with the Barbarian if you choose WhirlWhind it's WW until you win. The skills they got in their site for the Barbarian seems really cool. Also like the ditching of the town portal system. Was abusive. Easy way out.... The health and mana system I'm definetly behind! The fact that people (reviewers) who LIKE TBS (4x) rate this game from 4-9 means (to me atleast) that they either have vastly different grounds of scoring OR some just suck at their job. I haven't gotten it yet but have followed it since the first words about it were uttered and I will absolutely NOT get it at its current shape. Reading the following on this forum is enough: Lots of abilities don't work The A.I is incompetent The techt
I've always figured that the Producer was the spider in the middle of the gamedeveloper web that ties things together, but I've never understood what's so hard about it. I thought it went like this: Brad: "Boogie, speed it up. You're lagging behind. The balancers/QA needs something to do." Brad: "Artists. I need a Warhorse and a Warhorse with armor in 1 week. After that, add some Shader Model 4.0 stuff". Brad: "Balancers. Can you go the magic route and d
I don't know what exactly Kael has done for the Fall From Heaven mods so I don't feel much excitement. But if he truly is that great designer that you people seem to believe, then great! We really need one!
Armor for women that are shaped after their bodies would be great [e digicons]:w00t:[/e] Found a site with lots of pics of girls in armor http://www.whipassgaming.com/houseofrenders/houseofrenders.html Some pics are halfnaked but most are good. Julia from Age of Wonders II and Age of Wonders II: Shadow Magic is good. Good looking plate with
I may be the only guy that follows the development but haven't actually gotten the game yet [e digicons][/e] I'll also wait and see what v.1.1 brings. I actually can't remember if I've ever played a retail game that had stability problems and I wasn't thinking of starting now. Maybe I'll wait until v.1.2 or v.1.3 to get the game.
I think it's fair to say that someone who buys a game on Steam should review the game; it's ok to take away one star if they hate Steam and say so. But if they're not going to buy it because of Steam, they shouldn't post a review at all, because other customers are looking for reviews of the game, not Steam; they already know it's on Steam and they want to know if the game is worth it. They aren't looking for other people to hate Steam wit
A few months ago, I was about to write an e-mail to IBM and ask them if they couldn't get into the CPU desktop market and compete with Intel so the CPU desktop market goes into a Dark Age. But really people, start buying AMD! AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition is strong with an unlocked multiplier. With a good CPU cooler you can clock it to like 4Ghz and defeat Intel Core i7!
It works on Win 7 x64. You have to use compatibility mode though. If you don't the units will be invisible since the game uses a primitive DirectX or graphicsdriver or something like that. I tried WBC II and it was fun in campaign mode for its time but with WarCraft III coming out 4 months later its fate was sealed. It had a really deep hero skillchart (correct word?) where every race and class were unique. <
Is CCleaner needed when you got TuneUp Utilities?
I tried Trillian a couple years ago but from what I remember Msn smileys didn't work so I uninstalled it. Have they fixed that? Sounds like I'll wait a bit.
Honestly ... I'd prefer the tile-based combat of the Civ series to the bollox of HoMM V "tactical combat" Edit: yes, I'm saying that the combat in HoMM is more abstracted than Civ
Then you're just flatout wrong. HoMM battles are more concrete then Civs since you play them out. In Civ you can't....
Late to the topic but what the hell.... I'll only list what I myself want to play nowadays. Singleplayer - Skirmish None - They're not good enough. There are a few candidates but ultimately their flaws are far too serious for me to have fun with them Singleplayer - Campaign Heroes V Kings Bounty Multiplaye
Yeah it would be cool to see how many are left. Like when I checked the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 when it was new. It sold out quickly and it was fun to watch its numbers get lower and lower.
Never used'em and with Steam around (achievements, features, community, mature platform) and later Impulse I doubt I ever will.
