The Stockholm syndrome is about liking your kidnappers. Be clear what you mean. It's also late here so can't think that much. What is 53% idiots? Never heard of that.
Consumers do benefit some from a used game market. No Gamestop means the used game market has been eliminated. Companies are not going to pass their benefits onto the consumer.
I'm actually in favor of that. No more buy-a-game-and-pass-it-around-like-a-drunk-chick. Now everybody have to do it the way I've been doing it for the last 7 years. Why should others get of easier tha
Nenjin: Their Brick and Mortar is successful right now- but only because of the used game market. That said, I do see a bad end for Gamestop by the end of this decade- once they get locked out of the console market, which I suspect will happen next-gen, they're the next Circuit City. That said, this won't be a win for consumers in the long-term .
<p
I don't know why you mention HOMM3 as a game where you can't control the units in battle, because you can in that game. Perhaps you got it confused with some other game? I appreciate reviews like this from intelligent, common sense people like you. Was at GameStop today and saw this game. And then I get home and read a review of it

You're on the right path. Personally I will just disable Magic Victory since it's cheap and doesn't feel like a victory. It's like that mission in StarCraft: BroodWar where Kerrigan are going to recover a crystal. As soon as she touches the crystal, you win. No matter if there's 12 BattleCruisers firing at you and you're down to 14hp and will die in 0.1s.

I'll definetly pick it up when it goes for 5$ or so. I really like ID Softwares games. The gameplay is always solid in them but I have no desire for it and thus are not ready to spend any considerable money on it. Just checked and there are no STEAM achievements! Man....ok I can give 3$.

Heavenfall is right. I can take my family as an example, they just want things that work. I like to explain in detail about how good a GTX 570 is to an GTX 560Ti and how the models (like MSI TwinFrozr III vs ASUS Direct CU II) compare to eachother but my brother and nephew would just ask me to recommend something and install it for them. They would not (as I always do) ask lots of questions to understand how one model is different to the other, they just want to be spoonfed everything! &
This one does. Betas are considered demos by many, and after the failure of WoM, they can't afford to not wow everyone with the beta. They need to start FE off with a bang.
People not understanding cannot be a valid reason. They just need to keep the beta to the prepaying guys and perhaps have a notice about what exactly beta means.

Actually never played it and wasn't my intention of even getting it. The wintersale had Half-Life 1 Anthology at a fantastic discount and getting the pack of Half-Life, Opposing Forces, Blue Shift and TFC was cheaper than getting the Half-Life games individually. So scratch that one from my list

I've got like 10 screenshots and I've never had that problem. Only problem I've ever had is that when I log on, STEAM doesn't realize I'm logged in but after shifting a few tabs it understands.

*Casts Revive Thread * Disappointing that this thread didn't get any better use out of it. So lets try again. It's real simple. You check my list of games and if you want to play one of'em in multiplayer you add me to your list of STEAM friends. If you don't got STEAM running all the time like I do then ask for MSN, Skype etc. You should also make your own list of games (preferrably inserting your own STEAM lib

I knew DOTA and it's clones were popular but I thought people would be put off by the communitys horrible attitude and teamplay in general. Am I the only one who doesn't like teamgames? Pacov - the man with the game(obsession? [e digicons]:P[/e] ). What is it you like so much about League of Legends? Is DOTA II an obvious upgrade for you? What about everybody else that has posted like crazy here?

Bennet Ring is the GameSpy Editor-in-Chief and is also one of the few people who can play the Diablo III beta. He uses the ENTIRE article to speculate how Diablo III would be as a FirstPerson game listing pros and cons. Diablo III is also his very first game with an isometric view. Seems he has only played FirstPerson games before. No need to say that he got massively flamed for his article. I don't see an

I'm certain Brad just doesn't want to hear bad things about his patches. If you constantly get to hear how much your game suck and that the latest patch you made is useless and that people say they're are uninstalling it and throwing the CD out through the window....then you would most probably get a bit sad and noncaring after a while.

....Not impressive....where is the character (so we know how far out FoW gets removed)? That was my honest reaction when I saw the video. Look, before releasing things you must make sure it doesn't give a negative impression. Show it around internally and have people say what they think. That FoW is NOT fog of war! It's Black Shroud from WarCraft II or Heroes II. I'm sure you know the difference. The leaves

One of the reasons I like Heroes V so much. Got the whole soundtrack in my phone even. That music is just superb. Haven't played War of Magic but they have to beat Age of Wonders. Can't be that hard. .... Scratch that! The Age of Wonders music and sound are good. I remember them now and it will be quite tough to beat. I don't think Stardock will do that.
