This is incredibly important to the industry. Not having access to more memory is very limiting these days. For instance, for those of you who have read Elemental: Destiny's Embers, you know that the Fallen aren't just "big humans". They are, effectively, a collection of fantasy archetypes. The Ironeers are supposed to be dwarves . But we can't have lots of equally

The best Fantasy TBS with Tactical Combat getting a sequel would be GREEEEAAAT news indeed! AoW Heaven would flourish again! And we would dominate again! [e digicons][/e]

Jeez people! If I was Brad I would think of stop asking you things since half the answers have unneccessary things like: "Yeah, if the game is good" and "don't exclude people that have 32-bit" I'm with it all the way.

Three of my IRL friends I play with are getting it so I'm very likely to do so as well. Besides, playing with friends is the best thing since the bread toaster so it can't go wrong

I agree with Ironman modes. It's vastly needed in games. Like old FPS games like Half-Life and Quake & Quake II. Save before a hard engagement and the challenge is gone....don't save and you might die three times in a row (which is really frustrating) but you FAILED and don't deserve to go further on that difficulty lvl. I know I need Ironman modes to keep a challenge up. Speaking of that, I'm going to go Ironman mode on Quake & Q

I really like what I'm seeing here. Both faction differentiation and the stats. The knowledge thing is also grand. Solved the techtrade exploit. No complaints.

Tasunke , It depends on game to game, but in RTS & TBS (if it's a new series or type of game) I'll start on the easiest to normal difficulty to get a fundamental understanding on how the game works. Of the Civ series, I've only ever tried Civ II The Test of Time for 1h or so. Far Cry and Medal of Honor I started on the hardest difficulties but after failing 5 times in a row on the same level I swithced to th
Your post makes me more sad than the original I first quoted. If playing chess, and not being able to out think your opponent is a punishing bore, then you and I will never agree on the subject. I understand that it's not a game many people enjoy, but I still find it incredibly sad.
Considering how sad you said you were before, you have to be depressed now [e digicons]:S[/e] <
Quoting Gandhialf, reply 46 Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series probably are just not for Campaigner. That's it. Don't tell you're sad because not everyone shares your view of a good computer game. That would be... strange. It's okay if they're not for him; he doesn't have to buy and enjoy them for the masterpieces they are. What makes me sad is the mass simplification of games in toda

GeForce 680 GTX is the strongest there is. Just be sure to get an aftermarket cooler so you'll have no noise and great cooling. That would cost like 200-700 euro more than standard but it's worth it, especially with highend cards. What I gotted from the survey: 2008: Steam had 10% of the DD market - Small player. 2009: Steam had 18% of the DD market - Still small. 2010: Steam had 30% of the DD market - A normal player. 2011: Steam had 50% of the DD market - The main player in the DD market. Male/female ratio: Kinda proves that women don't like real games. Guess they're playing farmville and stuff.... Would seem to prove

Enhanced version of Baldurs Gate & II.... If they make the game easier to understand than BG, II and Icewind Dale & II then I'm willing to try it. I tried Icewind Dale, Icewind Dale II, BG, BG II like five years ago and thought they were confusing and strange. Custom party, select weapon proficiency..? Ehrm....*selects a premade goodguy party* 160% difficulty (or whatever it was in BG II), attack like the first enemies and one suc

I'll definetly get this as soon as it's on sale if I got somebody to play with. Got Borderlands GoTY from an internetfriend and we're playing through it. Been a pause for a month now but we'll get back on track soon. So what's everybodys favorite character? Singleplayer: Has to be Mordecai! I love the pistols as they're so accurate! Having a revolver makes me feel like Dirty Ha
I can't see why Stardock can't just have all their published games available on Stardock Store, but also available at other DD providers if someone wants to buy them from there, but *without* the obligatory tie-in to Steam that is proposed for Sins, and maybe Elemental games in the future too. Stardock, what say you? What's wrong with selling from Steam without requiring Steamworks on every copy regardless of where it&#39

The Gamespot article only tell the story from one viewpoint, and that is in support of Hepler. I see comments on Gamespot like: "I cannot actually believe they did an article on this. Does she really think that by signing up on twitter and saying things like "You guys are just jealous of my vagina and that I work in the gaming industry" is going to bring any less hate on her? If she didn't want internet hate to begin with why would you open up a public known twitter

The digital world is coming closer and closer. It's quite interesting that we are now in the middle of a change. I think it's for the better. Cut out the middleman and make it cheaper to get your goods.

One more nail in the retailcoffin. I really wonder if Playstation 4 and Xbox 720 will have STEAMlike ways to forever stop secondhand sales. I believe it, but am not certain.

I've heard about such a thing but I never cared much about it. I never saw it in my local newspaper so I guess I believed it less. But if these things are true....then it's just mindboggling.

@Sinperium Be more specific. Computers today are 200x more powerful than "a dozen years back"? Dozen means like 10 to me. What does it mean to you? [e digicons]:P[/e] So metamaterials are completely synthetic? Don't understand how much computingpower is needed for the modelling of DNA, viruses'n'stuff. But then again, I don't understand exactly how powerful my own computer is (E8400 and GTX 570) nor do I get ho

Man! You two, The SithLord guy and SINPERIUM, are you studying physics in college or something?? I don't understand why those atom/particle things are "huge breakthroughs". Seems like babysteps to me. I was expecting a "huge breakthrough" would be when they know how to build a CPU that works in a quantum computer. A friend of mine once told me that water boils at 98 - 102C though science says it boils at 100C
