In moment its far to easy to run over everything with a good stack (city or not). There needs a mechanism to reflect city defense like walls, etc. I just ran over cities like I do on field armies. AI should smart enough to stay behind defense and long range attack shouldn't work like just shooting with 1 single range unit every defending unit from the walls. The game shouldn't work like "create one big stack" and run

Well I think the biggest problem of WoM was/still is that they put in to many features to get it "casual gamer competive" and this leads to the problem that to many factors needs to be considered to make i: - balanced - a good AI - the game in sum is real fun I would say: Less is often (so much) More!

Tactical Combat is still the reason I don't play the game in moment. It feels for me like exploiting the AI whenever it comes to it. - I always get "First Strike", why? There need to be a mechanism someone is attacking and the other more defending. - I can easily kite opponents around. - with defense structure the AI has no plan how to attack effectivly. It often move only a small part of his army Tactical battle needs a lot of AI improvement. I'

Every AI should cheat on higher difficult levels. Without there would be no real challenge for experts. This is not chess and a good human can always optimize game systems far better than an AI can.

If the game left beta later on you can play it like before without internet conection.

How is the AI in FFH2 or even Master of Mana in moment? While i played it 1 year ago the AI was stupid like bread and couldn't manage all the race features.
I agree completly. It totally stupid to have troops which costs different materials and champions which can be hired and fully eqiped with just gold!
You not even can use a savegame from last beta patch 1,09w so yes you need to restart. Game mechanical completly change since 1.08
I hope future add us ~20-30 quests each level and they are more different. With that i feel quests are will be really good.

/agree with OP. Shops needs to be changed. I always start making my first city a "money city" and just boost all my champions with actual armor/weapon. There need to be some restrictions to the shop mechanic.

For me it looks like a general problem on your PC. Your subject is somehow missleading... is it so difficult to write something like "Impulse doesn't install correctly".
Hmm for me it never works to start Elemental from behind proxy. If I shift+tab i can't login.Without shif+tab i get an error message saying something about firewall blocks, etc. Impulse itself works fine using proxy. Do i need to set impulse to offline mode to get it work?
I didn't play much versions in the past but on 1.09t I got huge influence on my starting city. Influence is for me a big growing square now and i can get access to far away resources very soon. I stoped playing because I really don't feel good with this advatage. It ruins totally city positioning.
