I agree with you Brad but for me the question is: Why do you put in feature over feature over feature in games knowing the AI can't/only very diffilcult handle it? If you look into Dareks Civ4 Mod FFH2. It was really a nice MOD but the AI was just not able to handle it. The "AI problem" usually is a problem for the highend of optimized-playing and very veteran players. Also, I for myself "love" to lose an game against AI just because it means the game is worth to play furt

Hi, I play Expert game and planned my leader as governor and use most of his HP to the Paragon Spell. Now I note that I can endless cast this spell and never go below the bonus hitpoints I got via ability and levelup. This seems stupid. I bought level 9 hero and level him up until 18 now. He is a Archmage, god fighter and I stil able to level him up again and again. No real fun withou limit... Please fix, thanks.
Quoting calmon, reply 35 And? Its exactly what I saying: There is 0 problem to make the game easier on easy! Its a BETA. Sorry - I thought you were calling him "so stupid" for suggesting exactly what you are saying? Maybe English is not your first language because we are clearly not understanding each other.
I mainly tired of people voting games down because of it "difficult". No
Quoting calmon, reply 31 OMG. I didn't play the new version but if the AI is actually not-that-rubbish its a good news! Voting a game down because getting destroyed is so stupid. There is absolute no problem to make the game winable at easiest level regardless what you do. Man I'm so tires about this stupidness... Whoever read this from the devs: Keep the harder levels as hard as possible! What a

I just want to know why its needed to have on one side completly -free from any diasadvantages- parallel build inside environment when a Mine, Farm, Shrine, etc. is not connected to my city. I just build everything, it has its own queue not influenced by anything else build in the city. If I mistakenly connected the Mine/Shrine/Farm/etc. before its build it uses the city queue which influences my build queue. Why do we need 2 logics for that? One completely desi
Problem solved because of auto defenders? Well maybe we should add just an auto army of the best units in each AI city to prevent player conquer AIs cities with 2-3 heroes... Thats not the point! There is absolutly nothing we gain here. Whats the difference of having this monsters/barbarian when they do absolutly nothing just waiting to be killed for XP? Destroyed buildings hurt a bit but its far away from cripple an AI. For sure the AI as well as
Well actually I just read sephi's ("master of mana" /successor of Fall from heaven Mod) comment when he actually played Master of Magic. In Master of Magic a lot of Barbarian Units running around, even much stronger. In FE we've the situation to make this barbarians completely dump and only acting in Wilderness or let them attack cities which leads to the problem that often too much defense is needed and means either too much resources go
And also: City sum of production is not calculated in a right way after this! It still sums up with the "old" shard but when hovering over it the +1 is missed. So when you had before 2 water shrines in city and corrupt 1 the city still show up +2 (hovering only +1). The Overland shrine sum seems to be correct. And of cours, it doesn let me build the new death shrine, see bug above. Same for other stuff. When losing 1 crystal mine (out of 2) by ram
Maybe since frogboy programmed the AI himself you should listen to him about what the levels do and not some tooltip written by someone less informed about the inner workings?
And? Read my post starting with "Nevertheless". I just noted that tooltip is wrong when frogboy is right. We are in beta, we have to talk about bugs like this...
Play on challenging. That is the level where the AI plays its best game without bonuses.
The Tooltips say something different! Nevertheless when "Challenging" is still without AI Bonus please make more hard modes. Only "Hard" and "Ridiculous" as AI bonus difficult levels is too less for the experienced players.
I think the major point is that heroes like this are just too good in any way and the AI doesn't has something equal. This hero stack-of-doom just kills multiple armies per turn, takes cities (look at this movement: 8!) and even if he got killed it comes back again at full strength in few turns.
Quoting Wintersong, reply 8 Quoting Creslin321, reply 2 I support this suggestion. Easier than having to drop back to the menu and load a quicksave. And if there are people that like a more "hardcore" experience, then there can be a pre-game option to disable the "redo" button. It's not "Hardcore", it's "default" experience. You ask for a "softcore" experience. "Har
Don't get your points. Difficult level are exatcly for the experienced players. Whats the problem for the not-so-skilled players by having more?
I don't think we need more than 1 "Easy" Difficulty. Switch categories to something like that: 1. Easy 2. Normal 3. Hard 4. Ridiculous 5. Insane 6. Godlike And yes add a lot of AI cheat to the highest levels. For example: AI should get a lot more heroes, half buildtime, research bonus. Godlike should be goldlike! I don't want to win with a "1 Killer Stack" Strategy!!
1. AI 2. Stupid creation of 1 Killer Stack is enough to run over everything (also related to 1. AI) 3. Balancing: Heroes>everything (related again to 1. AND 2.)
Sure this (the possible comeback mechanic) is one part but the other part is a far more problematic one: The "engame" comes way to early! You can be the smallest nation but its the point the AI is no longer able to handle you and you can start to overrun everything not because you have the better enconomy, no it can far worse but you can do things the AI can't manage. And I don't talk about tactics, It often just enough to make 1 stack with the best units
I agree with Topic Starter! A main focus on developing Civ/MoM like games should be around the Mid/Lategame and sadly in most cases only early game is somehow thrilling. With every following turn the weakness of the AI becomes more vissible. Especially in WoM and FE. Its nice to have all the RPG features, yes sure its fun to develope cities and heroes but if later game is just all about running with indistructable stacks from one city to the
Hi, I just want to report this very simple Bug: AI often moves on tactical battlefield and don't attack even neighbored to my troops. It should ALWAYS attack, there is absolute no advantage not to do, On a sidenote: AI often retarget. An example: me with 2 unit, AI with 1. AI attack 1 target, than again the same and in the 3rd battle round sudently stupididly the fres
Well just play "normal". AI needs to cheating to be somehow competive in complex games. ITs the sad truth. AI in a more complex game will always suck because player "exploit" stuff to his best while AI can't do it. Its just too complex. So I WANT the AI cheating in harder difficult levels and making more options for this make things more complicated for common user.
