That's a really crappy thing to say and it's offensive. Apparently one can't voice their concern regarding the intended release date and profer useful feedback at the same time. I've been putting a lot of work into this beta. At least I know where I stand now.
Provide good feedback and not "WOE IS US!" and you'll be fine.

But if you think of them as way-stations between far distances they make more sense. I wonder if they will be intelligently placed in the final release (near rivers or passes or . . something that makes it sensible to be there). Which made m
What if the game does not work on my system after release? Currently I have only got past the introduction screen (before intro and main menu) 3 of 20 times and with no succes the last 6 or 7 times. Everything upgraded, tried re-install, computer got plenty of power to run the game etc.
Make sure you are providing data to the devs (which will be easier when the debug.err returns) so that they can try to resolve your issue
I might be a little too early, wondering what's going to happen to this game site years from now, even before the game's been published. But it would be awesome to know that the people running Stardock's community sites (to whom this post is mostly addressed) have some plan in mind for what to eventually do with them so they don't disappear.
Galciv goes back a ways: https://www.galciv1.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=2
For example, under Civilization you may have the subcategories of farming, production, economics, and housing. You, as the Sovereign, decide that your people need to strengthen their ability to feed themselves. You tell your minions to go focus their research efforts on "Civilization-> Farming". They come back with one of the green, yellow, or red techs that would have been available for you to choose, but you never see the options. They just come back with their discovery. "Si
One thing I would like to see is some way to get more information on a given tech, from the research window, before choosing it.
In the upper right is the Hiergemonenen (like the Civopedia). It's a bit light right now but I expect it to fill out before launch.
For me, an in-game research tree cheats the civ building lie we are willingly telling ourselves. But I like the sim/world building part of games like this. I shouldn't be able to know that atomic weapons are in the future somewhere and if I follow X path I get them. It's more real to me to research "warfare" and see a progressive evolution of weaponry. In fact, I'd dig it if, while researching magic (or some such thing), something goes terribly wrong (as research doe
The latest build isn't creating the debug. Expect an update soon.
I try not to think of it as wining a game . . but as building a civ. Research what makes sense to you. It'll work out . .or you'll die and have to start something new. Thankfully, it *IS* is game and you have do-overs.
Now I'm assuming that by the Elemental Army's mentioning of full blog posts garnering a decent number of points for you, that there is no NDA surrounding the beta? i.e., We are allowed to post screenshots/vids/game walkthrough's and that kind of thing with the appropriate beta warnings spread throughout?
Feel free to tell anyone anything. Have fun.
the way that Stardock is removing most of the user control of the software and only allowing users very narrow minded interfaces and options.
we get a lot of feedback from a lot of sources. With only so much dev resources we have to find that balance between what the "power users" want and the rest of the world. Think of it JoeHobbyist vs JoeConsumer.
