People see EULAs as some signing away of your life - to the devil/whatever. It IS no such thing as there is a fully legitimate and legal alternative. Do NOT sign/accept/agree/purchase.
Not being able to see a EULA until after you've accepted (by opening the box) is part of the issue.

Using technology like .Net and DirectX saves time and money. Coding cross-platform costs money (especially if your existing staff knows those technologies already). Windows sales exist, Linux sales might (They love their "free as in beer"). [Last week I had a laptop with no CD-rom or floppy fail on me. I got Antix-Mepis to install via a flashdrive and have had no significant issues getting it set up. Has it been as easy as putt
Last I checked it's very easy to break a truce as long as you don't have any adult kids... just click on the dynasties button then suddenly you will have the option to declare war.
Yeah. That's easy. ;)
There's also a design flaw when negotiating WARS: Step 1: Target the next enemy(X) you'll attack, but you're currently not at war. Step 2
I am out of work in Michigan right now. Trust me that there is a huge difference in being fired compared to being let go/laid off/part of a "reduction in force". Here, there is no stigma attated to being laid off. Everyone has been there or knows of someone who has. Does this suck for them? Likely so.
I'd accept variable length as an option . . but I'd rather be a no good, rotten, untrustworthy son of a sovereign and see how many people I can whack before I cared about what the other kingdoms thought of me.
In GalCiv if you made a truce and then wanted to break it all you had to do was attack an opponent. I put off the other kingdoms with truces until I had my army big enough but then I was ready and couldn't go back on them. Grr! Is there a way to break a truce? Sadly, I decided to get the alliance victory just to get the game over with. :(
I still find myself looking up from a game of GalCiv to see the sun rising, sneaking in to bed, and then when my wife stirs, pretending that I am just getting up and then having to pretend that I'm not tired all day. :) It's full of "just one more turn" goodness.
If the EULA says you've licensed your software instead of buying it and further says that you cannot transfer the software then you can't. Glad that's "settled". [e digicons][/e]
Edit: Oh and by the way, it is true that your version is going to be white and boring. That is because I am using Stardocks Object Desktop stuff and in particular the program WindowBlinds 7 and the parchment theme which is made to look like Elementals UI. So I don't think there is a way for me to include that in my program, because I just get the design as a result of the WindowBlinds. Sorry, maybe I'll help Stardock
A tip that might help: If you select a window and hit ctrl+alt+printscreen, it captures a screen shot of only that active window. As a former Stardockian, the hardest part about leaving is that it's such a close group and leaving is more than not working there. It's a loss of family. I really miss being there day-to-day. My thoughts are going out to those laid off.
It's possible that the issue is with corrupted data. In Impulse, click on the menu button in the upper left, then Preferences, then the "Reset Data" button. Also, a cancel and restart may work better than a resume.
Agreed, you guys certainly did announce that you couldn't get the rights. But there was always a hint that the game had been planned as a MoM sequel and that the game would stay true to that. That failing to secure the license primarily just meant a name change. That the statement of pulling ideas from all over the genre was seen as cover to make the game just different enough from MoM to not run afoul of legal troubles (and that some of those
I'd guess that at some point we'll see something like this in addition to the ingame mod library. Then the forums would be just for WIP and discussion of mods . . not the mods themselves. (Sins maps: https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/sins_maps ) Or perhaps like galciv: http

I believe this is not illegal... I do it all the time, it works great for the kind of game I'm playing at. Moreover, how about the guys in Europe who have not received their copy yet? does that mean they have to wait even tho they are entitle

I extensively play most of my games in LAN, with son, Bro in law and nephews............
The local area network will have to be connected to a WAN (the internet) so that each networked PC can access the Stardock host servers.
I've built a massive world. I've populated it with tons of resources, but there are TONS of monsters so you need actual armies just to keep your kingdom/empire from being consumed by them. #3: make sure you found your city near (next to) fertile ground. Once your influence surrounds it, you can click on that piece of ground and build a farm (lower left of the interface). The same is true for mines or shards or what-have you.
