What's Up with this? in WinCustomize Site Issues WinCustomize Forums

Clicked on "my Skins" and got Service Unavailable...then clicked on "boopish" under the Nautical Mile WB screenie..., that took me to my page ok, but when I clicked on "View My Skins" - again got SErvice Unavailable" . So scrolled down to look at the rest of the page: recent skins... none were mine...but chickenbow and draginol have stuff listed.....hummmmmm Article comments: ok, but nothing recent is listed. >

Customer buys a notebook. Checks off the skin option of lets say Royle Vista or something, it adds on the cost of WB and I install it for them with the OS install. My question to anyone who knows, are these skins just free? Do the skinners just do it because they're cool or what? If that is the case they all get an A+ in my COOL BOOK. Yup, you need tocreate a substyle - or you will loss the full size version when you save. But there is a way to do that and keep the file size down. Here's how to do that: Open SkinStudio: Now look at the far right of the toolbar...and just like Boss explained, click on the little + by your skin name (for this example we'll call it myskin) and choose make a substyle. Choose Add a Substyle , then choose Duplicate substyle. Now give it a name...say, myskin2. Now click on Taskbar

Christof...you are on the right track. Skinstudio is the right program, and believe me, it's not as hellish as it first appears to be! And is what most skinners use. You begin with making your images in whatever graphics program you like to use. Then you save them in .png format and import them into Skinstudio.
