Glad everyone is ok! This past week we have been dealing with smoke from all the forest fires here and on the mainland. Last Sunday looked like the apocalypse was upon us or we were trapped in the land of the living dead (come to think of it, I did see our local Zombie Response Team down by the oceanfront) as this massive grey green, orangish cloud rolled in and blotted out the sun. I, like many of you, am a huge Sci Fi fan and it all started with "Star Trek". My kids grew up loving it and now my grand kids are following suit. I admit it, I cried when they killed off Spock, and was overjoyed when they brought him back and felt as if a family member had passed when Leonard Nimoy died. I have a hard time with ratings. When I rate, and I know I should more often; I don't want to rate too low because someone took time and effort with their work, but neither do I like rating too high - because there is always room for improvement. I try to look at a piece objectively- and not the author. For wallpapers I look at colour - does it please the eye? Is there a good composition with a balance of positive and negative space?
