I have to say that this should be as high a priority as the AI, as a very strong AI and a very strong random mapmaking function is needed for longevity. Maybe allow players to customize the # of features that show: low, medium, high, or custom? I'd also let the AI know the amount of custom featues (the player knows) and adjust its opening priorities based on that. (no cheats, just tweaking AI values some)

Unsure if this is a bug, but I hit the pop cap in a city, and was unable to replace any improvement with a hut , because it would make my city "non-contiguous" Makes no sense that every tile would do that. My suggestion would be that when you click (or right click) on a city, it should take you to the city improvement screen, kinda like Civ 4. It can be cumbersome right now, especially when it comes to replacing buildings.

Should there be one? Also, perhaps this as an idea (might be too hard) The Ogre Huts should look like Ogre caves until a specific tech is researched (maybe have it common for Empire, but very rare for Kingdoms)

Stardock has many inter-linked sites....with cross-rlated posts/threads/forums....so now and then there will be timing anomalies with refreshing their databases. In other words you may make a comment in a thread and it won't necessarily immediately show in 'most recent'.... Andrew had said this was by desi

Don't think this qualifies as a bug, but it is a nuisance. Town names often obscure units when they are popped out of towns, making it difficult to move them initially. I have no idea how to fix this, other then zooming out to cloth map mode, which works, but isn't elegant. Also- one gameplay suggestion. Allow units popped out from the center to move to any adjacent square at 0 cost, unless they enter combat. &nb

How about some fusion spells that require two shards? Tactical Spells: Great hail. Requires water+ air drops giant hailstones on the enemy, randomly damaging a square of enemy in a 3*3 tile for many medium damage blows. Water+ Earth= Acid Blast. Hits them for a large amount of acid damage. Both should cost 8 mana. Arcane knowledge should be mid-level. Strategic

+1 to preferring the champions to have personalities, and possibly friendliness/hostility based on actions. Got a feeling that might be a bunch more work/expansion pack material though. Edit: one other thing that needs work: the speed of these forums. When the game comes out, these forums are going to crash hardcore, plus they could be designed better. Unrelated rant, but the SD forums are the worst thing about Stardock- admittedly f

Does the GCII budget include DA and Twilight, or just the base game? [quote who="Gorstagg" reply="9" id="2660514"]This is the type of thing that is going to really going to take this game from Awesome to Epic. People talk about how great a game is, but they only play it for a while. As it's got a very short "Life Span". But this game by it's very nature is going to be very replayable. And then you throw in the other side, allowing the user to create

Maybe high diplomacy/prestige should allow tech diffusion, or increased odds of adventurers from that kingdom coming to you?

As for damage, maybe have a symbol or letter for the damage B= Blunt C= Cutting P=Pierce A= Arcane/Magic F= Fire W= Water L=Lightning E= Earth (some would argue why this isn't blunt- I can see reasons though) Modders can use the other letters.

[quote who="Gorstagg" reply="24" id="2649955"] Quoting ghog69, reply 20*I don't feel like there is enough to do on each and every turn. I seem to be skipping ahead many turns at a time to get to something important (i.e. building completed, unit spawned). Before I know it, I am a few hundred turns in. Maybe it'll help if we can actually battle monsters we can defeat in the early levels, but it's tough to see that right now. Maybe when the high-level spawn gets fixed much of this will cha

I'll be honest, I find the crossed swords annoying on the forum. Not really needed. I'd rather see Stardock focus on making sure the forums run smoothly, which they haven't for ages. (Seems to have improved a bit lately though)

It's amazing how many gamers don't care about DRM though. I think DRM-free would work with more mainstream genres, this is an area I disagree with Brad on.
