I forgot to mention that when I was in South America, all the teachers were invited to a ritzy home of one of our students. They served octopus along with many other kinds of seafood. I tasted the familiar kinds but not the octopus.
Another great read here, Wanderer. I used to fix chicken feet soup for my husband (the second one). After I served it up to him and maybe GW (I can't remember if he ever tried it, but suspect he did as he was always willing to try any kind of food), I would leave the room because I could not stand to watch my husband eat it. I know those feet were cleaned and the toenails had been chopped off, but I still found it repulsive.

Oh, I can empathize with you about being a wimp in the face of cold. Even though I was raised in cold ND, I still do not like cold. However, like you said, I can go somewhere to get warm. Well, I won't comment on the cats but I surely enjoyed the slide show with all 19 pics that you posted. I was impressed with 2 very nice looking boys and I was totally surprised if that pic with the man seated in a chair was you. I thought you said you were an old geezer.
