Hmmm, same here.

Cool. Good luck then. If you need any help or advice (like on stuff NOT TO do) [e digicons][/e] give me a holler.
Have you released a game before? If not, we can help you with that as well. Whatever you do, don't order more than 500 copies to start off with. We have about 1200 left of our 2000 copy run sitting in alliances' warehouse that we can't get rid of. Are you on kickstarter?
Hello, me and my brother in law have produced a boardgame and may be able to help you. I have no artistic ability, but may be able to help in other ways. I can use photoshop to help with any of the layout, etc.. I did the instruction manual, etc.. Our game was T.P.O.C. which you can find on BGG. Let me know if we can help at all.
Funny! Especially #7
Hmmm, I don't see the lines on my post you seem to be reading between. I never said anything about XCOM needing beta tester approval. You seem like I hurt your feelings for bringing up XCOM, but all I said was that it was released with a really bad camera problem that many people complain on the forums about. I'm not talking of pleasing the 'hard core people.' I'm talking about polishing stuff that reviewers may complain about. Stop taking off
The engine of the game is ready, but there needs to be more polish. Typo's fixed, text formatting fixed, the event scheduling, the auto-save feature (i didn't know about this until a few minutes ago) etc..
The very idea that Stardock should somehow seek our "approval" is absolutely ludicrous. Reporting bugs is one thing, but the average forum-goer is in no way capable of making these kinds of decisions for a multi-million dollar project. If you think the game is not ready for release, then say so. If us players were to actually decide if the game was ok to release or not, I predict two things would happen. First, the game wouldn't b
Last night when I posted this I was a few glasses of wine into it :) Anyways, I want this game to succeed right away. I'm just talking about polish issues here that will be noticeable to someone picking this up for the first time. I'll list some of the issues that I'm referring to. 1. The event scheduling problem is horrible. When it jumps from the middle of an event to another event before the first is resolved is amazingly ann
The problem is that they're with the game day in and day out and might not see things the same way we do. I have no fear that any problems will eventually be fixed, I just don't want it to be released too early.
I know....just sayin'
I think there are many polish issues that could hurt initial reviews of the game as it stands if not resolved before release. I wish stardock would release the final version to the beta community for approval BEFORE release. There could be a survey of the beta community asking whether it is ready or not and if a majority approve, THEN a release date should be set. I'm saying this as an ardent stardock fan. I bought the collectors edition of WOM before release and w
Wow. Lots of response here. Obviously the elves in the back room need to crank it up. I will try another game without auto turn to confirm, but I trust you folks. My personal plea: If this delays the release of the game, it will still be less embarrassing than leaving things as they are. After the original Elemental, there is an inherent ske
This is definitely a problem for me too. It's really annoying. Please fix this before release!!!!
There doesn't have to be special animation or anything as long as the explanation is there. They could just change the name to slingers or something.
I was just given the option to go to a tile and 'see if i can build a pasture there' if I can't. It says I need animal husbandry to build there which I don't as this is only turn 2. How about just saying that I will be able to build there when animal husbandry is researched and then reminding me when it has been researched.
How about having units of a given type be able to upgrade anything within their troop type? Guys who fight with clubs should be able to learn to fight with polearms/longswords/staves/maces, etc, but not be able to upgrade to using ranged weapons or artillery or mounted warfare, etc... So they could upgrade anything within their own troop type, but not cross over to another?
Slingers, short bowmen, throwing knifes or axes, throwing spears, or any other low level ranged troop would be suitable.
Hey, I like the 'slingers' idea. Makes me think of Clan of the Cave Bear for some reason. Obviously there could be militia men who could throw stuff, etc..
Ahh, ok then...good enough for me.
Really?? But I can't design units with those can I? If I can't design archer militia units to put in my armies, then how can I have city defenders like that? Hmmm, not a big deal I guess, just seems weird.
This was one of the few things I like about CIV V was how I couldn't end my turn if I had idle units or cities. Please adopt this! The little zzz's by a city are a nice little reminder, but if I have a bunch of units on the map and they haven't been told to go somewhere, or to do anything, then I should have to give them orders before continuing the game. Even if that is just to fortify their square, etc..
Yeah, happens to me alot. I'm afraid to click on the explore button to see if they are in fact auto exploring because that would then set them to explore when I didn't want them to.
You can hover over the individual units to get their HP infos.
I know, I'm just throwing out things I see. This one is no biggie, just something I noticed. They have all of the other info such as attack/defense, etc... that is shown on the map. I just noticed it's not on the pre-combat screen as well.
