Thanks! So much pain for something so minor!
Nomorebeef
When I hover over units on the map it shows their hp's, but not on the pre-combat screen. I would imagine it should since this is information that is included on the map as well as the attack/defense values, etc..
Its a minor gripe, but there is no way for me to tell (unless Im missing it) if a unit is set to explore or not. This has been a minor problem a few times. If I tell a unit that has been set to explore on a prior turn to go somewhere specific on a later turn, then the explore option should be turned off. Once they get where I say, then they begin exploring again which is frustrating. The first time this happened I was ready to submit a bug report until I realized
I gotta bump this as it drives me crazy!
xp / xp needed for next level ?
Something like this.
My capital has 3 militia city defenders and 1 archer defender when I have yet to research any of the military techs including archery. Dosen't make a whole lotta sense!
Same happened for me. I loaded an old game with the 99 patch. Then I decided to start a new one. Lotsa graphics were missing. I exited and then reloaded the game and all was well.
If I am looking to train troops, the cost of the troops dosent change on the troop display while i am altering my tax rate to see how much of a difference it makes. The cost changes in the city build queue, but not in the training window right above it.
It would be nice when looking at any of my units/champs/sovereign if the amount of xp was shown above the encumbrance bar or something.
When I go to the city details screen it shows the city militia that's there, but not the units that I have told to guard it, or that are stationed there.
When one of my units gets a new item and Im given the option to equip it or not if I choose to equip it, the game should just take me to the equipment screen for that character. Something else that would be nice would be screens to show how that new item stacks up to whatever i have equipped in that spot.
I third the request. I have to play on our desktop with the sound off so my family isn't annoyed while watching T.V. or whatever.

Thanks for the update.
Make sure you bring some cheese to go with the whine [e digicons]XD[/e]
Woo Hoo, I got first comment. Outlined lookes so much better. By the way, when will the next BETA release be? I was under the assumption it was going to be this week!
Yeah, I was hoping the same! What's going on?
I like the idea of cities taking multiple tiles to a point. Instead of the buildings being placed as is, maybe when they level up they could expand a tile or two so that level 5 cities would be big on the map while level 1 would be small. I would also like to have a city screen that gives a HOMM view whenever you access the city screen as well. The fact that cities allow teleportation is silly, but no sillier than being able to access the shop from
Awesome idea!
Something as powerful as a city enchantment that hurts it's growth or something should take multiple turns to cast and have a cost-per-turn. A spell to dispell it should take multiple turns to cast as well.
Oh yeah, I noticed this also but forgot to post it. I had a city with a bad enchantment on it and had no way (at least that I know of) to dispell it. Good idea.
quoting post The title says it all. I wish more threads were like this ... What lucidity, what passion, what extrapolation. The time and thought that must have gone into a post such as this, it boggles the mind.[
You can buy stuff that other players are selling in their territory. Thought that was neat. What they are selling reflects what technology they have researched. If store prices were more reasonable, it would be even more fun. Though I'm not sure it makes sense to improve the equipment of an enemy hero.
Really? I guess I never noticed that. Hmmm...that's funny.</
Our desktop uses Vista 32-bit. When I built it, 64 bit OS was fairly new and I was afraid to upgrade to that as all I figured it would have problems for awhile. I have an old laptop with XP that I use mostly for internet stuff.
That sounds like a cool idea.
Yeah, I don't really like playing on the cloth map. I was just thinking if you could turn off the animation like in CIV it would help.
