I started a post saying the same time awhile ago. It was mostly because I hated losing production on a building if I needed to swap production. Being able to change the build queue order is the way to go in my opinion.
Nomorebeef
Very well spoken sir. I know that it makes the game less fun to have to go to your city to visit a shop, but is it okay for you then to have to go to a city to upgrade your troops? All I'm saying is it seems silly to me to be able to visit a shop so far from a city, but I have to go to said city to do any other equivalent thing. For those of you who have a problem with how I post my ideas, I apologize. I think it would be easier as someone who has to
Hmmmm, how about travelling toilets then? [e digicons]:)[/e]
I get what nomorebeef is saying, logically shopping while 4 or 5 tiles away from the town border makes no sense. But then as pointed out by seanw3, Travelling merchants could explain that. So how about earning those merchants via the tech tree. Early game challenges being made harder by having to limit where you can trade until such time that a civics tech gives you that benefit. Seems like the realistic scenario to me.<
quoting post The title says it all. That's not the purpose of the Title. If they were to change the system, they would have to add Outposts as a place to buy/sell from merchants.
I'm not understanding you. When I wrote the title of my post, I said everything I meant to say and really had nothing to add to the body of it.
I hope my posts don't sound like I'm whining. Since it's a beta version, I'm just trying to provide feedback on anything I think would make the game better/more immersive. I like the game alot as it stands. I'm just trying to give the most feedback I can.
Yeah I know, but when my sovereign is walking around at the very beginning and gets attacked it sucks!
The title says it all.
I suppose there could be a way I haven't realized yet, but I should be able to retreat from combat!
My desktop runs the game just fine, but when it is being used I have to play this on my wife's laptop (mine is too slow!) It would be nice if we could turn off all the animation that goes on. In the options menu, there are all sorts of options to turn off stuff, but then one option to turn ON shadows. They should all be worded the same so they all either turn off stuff, or turn on stuff to make it less confusing.
How about the weapon and armor upgrades you would just buy and get right away, but for troop size upgrades the unit has to go back to the production queue and be upgraded that way?
Unless they really make the factions each unique and awesome to play, I doubt that I would ever play this game without the ability to make my own faction.
Second this! If there was no way to make custom factions, I would lose 75% of my interest in the game!
One thing I always loved in MOM was having unded units raise after a battle if you had gouls (I think it was gouls?!?) That was alot of fun!

"Fuck MoM" huh? Is she good lookin'?
....and where the heck did that squirrelly Janusk get off to?
I would love to have the option of starting a random game where my sovereign is created randomly as well as everything else so I have no idea of the size or scope of the game I would be up against. It would be fun not knowing how many enemies there were in the world, etc...
I didn't vote as I usually create my own custom faction.
How about a hospital building that helps with physical wounds on champions and heals armies quicker / a psychiatrist building (or advanced hospital) to help with champion brain problems / and the option to have old champions who are too damaged to be of use anymore join the city to give it bonuses to warrior training (because of his combat exp) or some other job in a leadership role as he is old and wise? (Run on sentence I know)
Quoting Nomorebeef, reply 7I think it would make sense if the size of the pioneer party had something to do with the ZOC size of an outpost Now that's a good idea!
Thanks!
I don't really see the need to add this (OP) to the game.
Really?? Do you see the need to upgrade troops at all?
I think it would make sense if the size of the pioneer party had something to do with the ZOC size of an outpost if that is what they build.
Yeah, I agree.
Re: Group Upgrades There is a switch in the xml to turn this on. It is actually quite nice. I encourage you to try it. I am not sure if the AI can use it though. That may be why it is turned off for .86.
Great! I would like to be able to combine units as well at some point.
The outposts are sweet for stretching your ZOC out. If they are far enough away from your cities, you can devastate any enemies with tremor and pillar of fire. It would be cool if there was a way to improve their ZOC spread or something like that. As it stands now, I usually have them all over the map as the pioneer units are so cheap.
