Cool. Re v1.1, we are looking at starting the beta the first week kael is here so we can transition it from me to him with v1.1.

Yea, the book 1 campaign was supposed to just be a short walk thru. We're going to do more in the future. The next one I'm goingvto show modders how to make them so that we can trade virtual books.
Its in there now partially. If you create an encounter you can specify a map. I'll see if I can find an example.

But if you were to make it today (assume graphics enhanced) it would probably be fine on a GameBoy or an Iphone but you couldn't tell it as a AAA game on the PC. They'd have to greatly increase the scope or "re-envision it".Didn't you hear? They are remaking XCOM, for all major consoles! It's a perfect remake, same name and everything! I suppos
Just type in your Nook order number and it'll work.
There are other reasons as well such as what was considered a AAA game in the 90s wouldn't sell commercially. Or another common one is that what was expressed in the 90s with sprites would have to be rendered as 3D models which is vastly more expensive. That's one of the reasons why iPhone/iPad and Xbox Live Arcade games are taking off. You can get away with making lower scope games that are like classics. One of my favorite games of all time is XCOM. But if you w
The wraiths lived in resoln. That's as much as I can say but it'll be addressed during the game series.

Suffice to say, the two situations only seem similar on the surface but behind the scenes the only thing they have in common is that the word Stardock was on both boxes. This is true. But, for the vast majority of the gamers, this is the only thing that matters. Most people don't go on forums, they don't read dev journals. All they wil

I didn't want the reigns in the first place. For the first 3 years of the game's development I was hands off. I only took the reigns this Spring when it became clear tha
I think one of the reasons our community here is so good is due to demographics. We were all a bit pissed off at Elemental's launch (you guys spent $50, I spent millions, so you can imagine my feelings on it). But we're also almost universally adults over 25 years of age who a) want this game to succeed and b) can see where things are going. We've all been around games for a long time and many people here know how things here are different than elsewhere. We don't ha

Suffice to say, the two situations only seem similar on the surface but behind the scenes the only thing they have in common is that the word Stardock was on both boxes. With Elemental and future releases, as a practical matter, it's a relatively moot issue because in another year, digital will surpass retail in terms of sales. Our plan going forward is going to be to essentially keep game

Hi Gaeb22, any chance you can post your saved game? I'll check it out in the debugger.

Ok guys, let's try to be civil here. To those who are unhappy with the game for whatever reason, we get it. I'm not sure what you're hoping to accomplish with endless criticism. I think we've demonstrated our commitment to making Elemental better and better. If you're here to complain or restate that you don't like the game, then this isn't really the place for you. Modding is a very big deal to us. The only thing that's recently changed is the amount of time we've been able to spend on it in the near term. In the longer run, we hope to support both Python and C++ based modding to allow for substantially different games. It's just that our first priority has to be to make sure the base game is good enough to attract sufficient players to support a vibrant community.
