After acquiring Daxus during the hard difficulty slaver quest, Daxus will act as a normal champion in strategic mode but remain AI-controlled (he fights your enemies, but you cave no control over his actions in tactical mode) for the rest of the game in all future battles, making him next to useless as a combat-oriented champion.
