[.80][BUG] Press escape before during the level up screen...

I was button pushing monkey and found this fun little bug...

If you are going to level up and you know it (or don't) press escape before you do and then you can skip out on choose your path screen and end up like this picture represents.

Specifically: I produced this when I had 2 heroes leveling up at the same time, I pushed escape (several times) right after a battle where they leveled up, and got through the first level up screen fine, but the second level up showed up, then menu came up, I went back to the game and the level up screen was gone.

I decided to level up the character again (cheating wise) and saw this result

obviously a problem.

FYI i managed to replciate something similiar.

Had a sovereign with veteran trait so he would level up at the start of the game.

I entered. The backstory (which is bugged too, but thats another story) popped up. I clicked it away, the choose path window came up, i pressed escape, pause menu, entered back into the game, the choose path wasnt available anymore.
