Last night I encountered a bug when I had research finish on the same turn that the spell of making completed. I didn't get any sort of win screen, and instead was brought automatically to the research selection window as the turn began to make a new research selection. It was impossible for me to select a new research path though - I could not choose anything, whether I tried by double-clicking or selecting and then hitting "done." I could switch over to some of the other menus like ledgers or unit design, but could not close the window they appear in from any of the menus. Eventually I was forced to alt-tab out of LH and kill the process with the windows task manager. I did notice that the game had awarded me the achievement for winning by casting the spell of making, even though there was no indication in the game that it had succeeded.

I went back in to the last auto-save once I had loaded LH up again, and the same thing happened on the same turn. After killing the process again I went back to the auto-save and changed my research choice to one that would not complete the same turn as the spell of making, and this time I got the win screen, score screen and so on and the game finished normally. I went back to the auto-save one more time and made a few changes to sovereign movement and production in settlements, but still received the same bug where I was stuck on the research selection window and forced to kill the game with task manager. This time I was unable to reload LH as Steam believed it was still running. Eventually I needed to force close Steam, delete the appcache folder in the Steam directory, and restart my computer before Steam would allow me to run LH again.

Today I largely replicated this bug in a separate game. Same settings, but different random map and different sovereign. I timed some research to end on the same turn as the spell of making, and again had major problems. This time I did get the win screen, score screen and so on. Once that was done though, the research selection screen popped up and again I could not select any of the valid research choices, and could not close the window. This time when I alt-tabbed out to windows a fatal DX error message popped up, and the game crashed entirely. I've tested it one more time with a different research selection ending the same turn as the spell of making, and had the same results.
