Double clicking the name in the sovereign creation screen will highlight the entire textbox. If you don't type anything but click somewhere else or do something else the highlight remains, leaving you unable to see what name is there presently.
It should remove the highlight when you click somewhere else on the screen or do other things on the creation screen.
