I did not know that it did it this way. I might use this "feature" to my advantage by researching a tech with just the extra points of my other research.
How is that an advantage?
When you finish researching technology A, remaining research points are spent to next selected technology B. If you reselect technology from B to C in the same season, remaining research points don't go from B to C. It is inconvenient. It is better to do it as in Civ 5.
I don't know how Civ 5 did it exactly, so what are you actually saying?
That said, if it would be applied at end of turn to the "last tech" you pick, so its also the one you put daily research points in, that would be nice.
