I just did this quest and it stumbled on the last objective. I went up against Petar but after that the quest sort of broke. The quest said "have assassin's blade", which I did, but the quest didn't finish. I continued playing and about 20 minutes later, after another fight, the quest suddenly finished and I got the appropriate reward. I didn't change who had the Assassin's blade.
