I thought I was the only one who would notice it. Yeah its fixed for the next patch.
If you want a quick fix I'd recommend creating a spell that gives you mana. Don't set the spell to autounlock so the ai wont have it (once the Ai got a hold of my gobsmack spell and started thrashing me with it, not fun) then you can unlock the cheater spells with Ctrl+E.
