Just a reminder to anybody new to port checking. If you are behind a hardware firewall, and as is likely, haven't set up a DMZ that effectively removes the protection of NAT, then be aware that 'Shields Up' is reacting to the response or lack of it from the hardware firewall ports and not your local machine... I know it's obvious, but it's a detail that seems to bypass the occasional user.

Is it down to the individual to keep their own copy of these tips - or is it known that they are being collated elsewhere, the wiki for example?
Hi all & welcome.
Pleased to have been able to share this one - it really is a cut above the average, I'd love to experience this in a live setting. If you need a recharge, take a look.
Looking good Harley :HOT:
Re: my post here [link="https://forums.wincustomize.com/?forumid=144&aid=300608"]WWW Link[/link] I've fixed how it looks now, but it took me a while. I'd originally managed to embed the youtube video into original post so that it was both visible, playable and a clickable link to source page. Formatting problems including, no respect for margins, line breaks etc. It just wasn't able to relate at all. The embedded code was not visible in normal circumstances,
Edited to remove embedded link that was freaky.
Very cool, very beautiful Chinese Dancers. They are deaf, relying apparently on a mixture of memory and visual prompts to achieve their synchronicity. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Hq3UjixmgM
In my experience beta-testers normally do it for the interest/satisfaction, testing that is. It's normal to receive some perk that's directly related to the software that's being tested - but even that is rarely stated as an expectation of reward. Also in my experience, beta-testing of good or interesting software is rarely under subscribed. Which is why I'm unsure as to why there's a need in a community like this to make exceptional efforts.
Actually, everyone's input is valued and particularly that of the 'newbie' in a subject/thread such as this one....
I'm a tad unsure as to what this thread has become about. I note the OP has been edited quite a long way into this discussion, removing key phrases and adding others. The use of the term 'skinning community' appears to get switched towards the end from something that is deteriorating as it's absorbed into the market and failing to provide, in

Images used as links in posts no longer do that 'jumping' thing when passed over with cursor. A very welcome improvement. :HOT: Click button to visit Wincustomize Wiki in new tab/window depending on your browser.[

FYI - the above post (#104) is an example of loss of formatting resulting from editing. I tried and confirmed that I can introduce line breaks successfully by hand editing, though there is a sizeable delay in the result showing.
