Everyone Needs to boycott EA. Everytime a developer has a successful series they buy'em up. Then another great series goes to crap. Atleast that's what I see on the PC side and now spyware. EA can keep it.

I understand where your coming from it gets to me at times too. Say you are wanting to build three market centers. You click the tile you want then the market center and build. When it goes to the next tile you have to reselect the market center to build sometimes. And factories never seem to stay selected when switching tiles. I've learned to deal with it though, and thanks for the double click advice, I always forget about that.

Been playing daily (sometimes 12hours a day on weekends) since I got it in July. Only other thing I've played is a little TFC for stress relief. It is about to pass Warcraft II as played daily the longest. Thanks to GC2 I've got about 75 PC games collecting dust.

Hi. I'd also like to say how much appreciation I have for the team that did this superb mod. I just got around to trying it out after reading good things about it. I must say, Very Impressive. I'm not usually much for using mods(except Kryo's of course) but I'll definately be spending a substantial amount of time with this one. Thanks again and I'll be looking forword to the future versions.

Maybe it's because I play medium galaxies alot and don't get many choices. When I was playing as the Torians once, I chose every evil decision and still had to pay 2500bc to be neutral. I was still over halfway to the good. So maybe they need a bigger effect if you don't get as many events.

A big map(huge or gigantic) with something like occasional stars and tight cluster will get you groups of planets usually with good space in between the groups. Otherwise scattered, rare if you want all of them spaced out. This is a very addicting game ,but I've been playing bout 4 months and still refining my strategy at least alittle from game to game, so just have patience and you'll find a lot of options to explore. Also if you want to restart a game with same settings just hit ctrl+n anytim

Sounds Like the nebulae from Star Trek Armada are kinda what your shooting for. They disable sensors and keep you hidden from enemy sensor range. I just don't see it as something the AI could use with any effectiveness, as the human players would be launching sneak attacks, the AI has just with the last couple of updates, starting preparing for war properly.

Well actually on the game before my current one I was using The Terrans with the 50% luck, and right out the gate I hit two 2500bc anomolies. By the time the rush was over I had hit two or three more along with a few smaller monetary anomolies. My economy never had any problems on that game . Like I said though it "seems" to help. I have no proof, but also the bonus tiles on planets as I colonize them appe

Terrans are neutral AI. Not sure what your aiming at with the Trade tech question. You can Trade any tech(with tech trading on), but Trade tech itself is part of the diplomatic tech's in the research tree. Trade, Advanced Trade, and Master Trade. Also if you go neutral you can get a couple extra trade routes with neutral shipping.

I started using the Economy starbase Spamming of my manufacturing and tech capitols. That 200%+ boost really helps:). Not sure if it's considered cheese or a tactic, but it doesn't look to realistic, all those starbases crowded together.

I use at least the 25% luck bonus myself. Really does seem to make a difference. I rarely ctrl-n, but if I do, it's for location(being crammed in a corner). That is more important to me than the bonus tiles(even though they can be nice ).

I just got back on DSL 3 months ago when I moved. I had to d/l the 85MB Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 patch on dial up, so I know the pain. I used to just leave my PC downloading overnight and just let my D/l manager handle it.

It's real simple to make your own logos from photos you get online or anywhere. Just Resize it to 200 x 200 and convert to a .png image(most any photo editing program will do it.). Then insert into the above mentioned folder. Not sure if this helps Good luck

You probably already did this, but make sure all your video options are on like bump mapping and all the textures. The game supports Resolutions at least up to 2560x1024. That's what I usually use, with horizontal span across two monitors. Most single monitors won't support that though.

I've had enemy planets at 15-20x Influence and stay just rebelling for years. Even after flipping the same Civs nearby planets with a lot less influence. I think its just the luck of the draw. I also noticed it kinda running in streaks, where several planets will flip within a short amount of time, then nothing but rebellions for a while. It usually comes back around though and I'll get them flipping again like before.
