"is that it’s broken to the point of being unplayable" It is BS statements like that one that assure me that site is F'ed beyond repair. I am and have been playing E:WoM and having a good time doing so.
Actually to me E:WoM is almost unplayable, so I really can't see this statement as a bullshit.
. Steamworks means that the game, even if it's released in physical, requires you to be connected constantly to Steam to be able to play. Just that.
Steamworks means that the game integrates all the awesome Steam's community features.
It runs BAD. I have a mediocre Intel E6550 with 2 GB RAM and two 8800 GTS in SLI. Well, I can barely run the game in 1680x1050 with AA turned off, experiencing some framerate drop and heavy loading times. With AA on, even just at 2X, framerate drops are huge.
I'm so disappointed with this game so far...
I really didn't like Fallout 3 so New Vegas was a "no go" from the start for me. Neverthless, I can't really say I have nothing at all against Steamworks. It sure is ten times better than that huge pile of crap called GFWL. Said that, I was wondering if Stardock, D2D, Gamersgate, etc.. have at least tried to reach an agreement with Valve , about making Steamworks some sort of shared standard, extended to the competing pl
Sorry, couldn't resist.
No need to apologize, I think it's pretty funny. Even if it's a huge bullshit.
And Tuco, if you've seen Dwarf Fortress, you know that there are gamers that genuinely don't care about graphics. They aren't fanboyz, or sheep...they just know the worth of a solid gameplay experience.[cut] Don't hold back your criticism of the game, but try not to criticize other forum goers Thanks!
I've played Dwarf Fortress myself but that's not the point. I'm not denying h
I think the current screenshots look better that the one posted by TucoBenedicto. Somehow I don't like the use of colors on it.
Well, I don't. Really. In fact, to me is even hard to understand how THIS... ...can be perceived as better than this:
If it's the whole 'Illustrative style' you don't like, I don't think any amount of modding will get around that unfortunately.
No, isn't. In fact, I love the "illustrative style". I've even just posted an early concept screenshot praising its visual style. Which isn't coming in the game anymore, sadly. What i don't like are very bad polygonal models (starting with the Sovereigns himself), human units in the beta, and very b
Wow, i really get your point regarding graphics and stuff... But i just think you pre-ordered the wrong game.
Yeah, right. I'm 32 years old, I play games (every damn videogame genre, to be more specific) since i was five, and now looks like you want to teach me what game is right for me.
There are enough people around that would risk diabetes considering the eye candy they need in their games, but this isn't
Sorry esrever, I wasn't meaning to address you quite so specifically. What I am trying to address is the general question of the graphical style. We don't like the tendancy of these types of games to be littered with "stuff". We prefer having a cleaner look both from a game play point of view as well as aesthetically.
Well, let's be honest. This was one your very early concept screens: <img src="http://www.1up.c
Wow, what an embarassing bunch of Captain Obvious Superfriends we have here.
PS. I am not trying to change the subject at all. Gameplay > Graphics in my "book of magic".
And yet you are still changing it. What's wrong with you? No one here is putting graphics before gameplay but we were speaking about the graphics engine and the overall looking of the game, so your priority list is pointless here. Please, stop trying to act like the old, experienced player who's taming the young and silly g
Well, EWoM's gfx/art style is quite unique, that's a fact....it's not for "everyone". Some people surely won't like it. Personally I like the art style, however....gameplay > gfx. So, why do you care at all?
Cause I always care about how a good game looks, and, by the way, speaking about good gameplay you are just changing subject.
Personally I like the art style
Personally I liked much mo
To be honest I really don't like most of the graphics so far, especially human units. I was wondering how much of this is placeholder and how much is pretty much final. P.S. I'm not talking about these screenshots up there, I'm referring to all new screenshots availbale today, even on IGN preview.
"Now" when? In a week? A month?
I think you don't match requirements, in this pic.
We are just talking about graphics so I will take my chance to ask... 3d models (scouts, soldiers, sovereigns, etc) are placeholders or they will be mostly the same in the final game? Cause I must admit I don't like them very much.... Well, i don't like them at all actually.
Double post... This forum sucks pretty bad with Chrome, do you know it?
I must say I never experienced in my life to play a beta so messed up. Ok, i can understand there are works in progress, but Jesus Christ, I was just wandering what I have to test if *nothing* works as intended.
Well, title says all. I hope Stardock will work for its implementation.
There isn't any single good reason to keep buying a 32 bit OS today.
I have Space Rangers 2 on impulse. Played it for a while. OK, but not great. Mount & Blade. Not my cup of tea I think
God, no. They actually *are* great. If you don't like them problem is yours. It's all your fault. Shame upon thee! :|
