I appreciate everyone's help, but I just tried ShellOn v2 again, and again, it does nothing at boot/start-up. I have read and re-read the configuration instructions (they're not all that complicated), but it's as if it's not there at all, and it *is* set as my default shell. Another odd thing, the "reboot" button does nothing - maybe related. In any case, for me on XP Pro, ShellOn isn't doing anything. I found a few other alternatives at the site mentioned above, but the Carapace link is down, s

The best solution I found is Mailshell (http://www.mailshell.com). In addition to providing a mail account, you can create disposable addresses, and do lots more. It's best feature is that you can add up to three other e-mail accounts, and they'll be passed through Mailshell's "cleaning" process and delivered to your preferred inbox. I currently have two of my most heavily spammed accounts processed that way, and I haven't looked back. They claim something like 99% accuracy in filtering, and I'd

As far as I'm concerned, the idea of supporting a web site financially goes beyond just the content. I support Stardock/Wincustomize for the web content but also for the applications, support and development. If Wincustomize and Stardock where only a showcase for skins, I doubt very much I'd support it with cash. Although it might be a Utopian view, I still remember the net of around 1994 or so, and I believe things could end up again as they were then. If Wincustomize disappeared, or Yahoo's po

Well, given that it only happens when pop-ups are displayed, I'd grab a good pop-up killer. If you don't mind spending a few bucks, Pop-up Stopper Companion by Panicware works beautifully, and integrates into the IE toolbar. There are a million free alternatives though, and that way, you can enjoy Logika, *and* be free of those evil-doers. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&New

I''d love to see how many of those who are registered users, were once using a pirated version, and for how long before the reg''d. I think these numbers say a lot, and support what I''ve always believed: Truly good software, like truly good artists (musicians or otherwise) will be supported by those who recognize the value of their contributions. BTW, FWIW, I will confess to using WB for a *long* extended trial period, before finally subscribing to ODNT. I now find myself supporting all of Star

The reasons why I prefer to view and download only XP skins are, well, just my own preference. It's like having to offer a reason why I want Mozilla one click away in my quick-launch bar. I just like it that way. What's happened here, is that now an extra step or two has been added to what was a one-click process. It makes no sense at all to me.

The bottom line is that the most recent XP skins were one click away before. Even selecting check boxes before browsing adds more complexity to the process. Why "fix" what wasn't broken?
