It's GTA IV and Civ V for me.

Probably the same as cake. ;)
So i watched that video of the guy who got the game on youtube, and he mentioned that people who buy it at bestbuy get exclusive content.
Wow, that is that a shameless way of luring people to buy at BestBuy? There was absolutely no talk of any exclusive content here yet and the thing looks very much like a fake.
Nice find and thanks for the link.
The name of the currency shouldn't be more than one or two syllables. And if it has a nice ring to it I might even use it. [e digicons];P[/e]
An interview of Brad with one of the editors can be found on Rock, Paper, Shotgun . Part one (about the future of Impulse) is here , while part two (the one about Elemental) is here .

I'll rejoice as soon as it's official... ... I mean definitely official.
Marosz is a human warrior. Not the type to start a war but to end it. One of those that knows that in some situations a tiny pin is mightier than a battleaxe and the weapon itself is nothing without the wielder. During his apprenticeship he fought along bow-wielding and mud-slinging elves, small winged - but nonetheless fierce - people of a blueish persuasion and lizard men with beaks (who can get extremely aggravated when having their mother compared to or even called a chicken).
As a "Archivist" we have No Way to save these patches on our systems for use at a later date.
You can "Download and Archive" in Impulse. Granted, that uses much more space because it archives the entire game but storage space isn't too expensive anymore.
What if we move to a place with little or No internet? That does happen. No problem. At first I didn't think about this but after the first 10 minutes were over I thought, I'd spare us the whiners purists complaining. ;)
I think playing time (outside the game) should not be mixed with gold or other resources (inside the game). Maybe you could have a time-bank instead. On the game setup you could set an average turn time (ATT). If you are faster than the ATT a portion of your left-over time get added to your pool which you can spend to exceed the ATT on some other turn. When your pool is depleted your turn is automatically finished at the end of the ATT. You could cap the pool so you don't get

If I need an outpost to harvest a shard and I want to build some barracks and a wall to defend it, but I don't have the right governor ? I can't ? I want to be able to do it AND pay the price. Maybe instead of a governor, we could "attach" a unit (or more) with the right requirement. If I can build warfare units, why can't I build "civilization" units ?
Erm, unless Boogiebac ed
Sounds pretty good. This way the players can give constructive feedback on quick-resolve AI and are not restricted to complaining about it. [e digicons][/e]
Funny screenshot. BTW, the Vectors were my favorite team in Projectyle. Bah, now I feel old again.

It's the GalCiv2 boards for me as well. I preordered right away on November 4th, 2008.
Aren't French and German languages compulsory in France and Germany? Or just an Urban Legend fueled by companies making translations for those languages all the time but not others?
Can't speak for France but there are no language restrictions in Germany. Only nazi-symbols and excessive depiction of violence is problematic here (OK, sex maybe too but that has never been a problem with a game from the US). ;)
Someone destroys/conquers one of your villages. Does your small city shrink to village size?
I'd just stop the poulation growth in the small city until you get another settlement (either by capture or founding one).
The limit can be circumvented by building more and razing/letting others raze/steal your cities.
I'd counter that with morale penalties whenever one of your cities is razed (more if you do it yourself).
