As I have found in this thread https://forums.elementalgame.com/389248 , companies are currently overpowered due to a bug: A squad of 10 horse archers, with 1 one archer having 14 ATK, is listed as a unit with 143 ATK (which is fine) and do 1430 Damage (which is not fine since 143 ATK already take into account the number of unit in the squad)

BTW, this thread https://forums.elementalgame.com/335522 with some responses of Brad seems to imply that the relation between the world of Elemental and Altaria is important
There is no canonical relation between GalCiv2 and Elemental, as far as I know.
Well, the Master quest in Elemental makes references to Tandis (who is an Arnor involved in the Twilight of the Arnor campaign) and Draginol.

I have design an horse archer. It has an ATK of 14. When I build a squad of ten, the ATK of the squad is 143, Which is fine as it is the ATK of an horse archer multiplied by the number of people in the squad. But when I use that squad in battle, it is doing 1430 damage in a single shot. Thath wouldn't bother me if 143 was the ATK of a single horse archer. But it isn't the case.
You MUST build a workshop to build a merchant to get gold.
Unless you get material as starting bonus like the later faction. Level 1 goody hut can give you also some material. So it isn't right that you MUST build a workshop everytime ;)

When you click on an unit that doesn't belong to you, you can have the coordinates where it goes. But you have no way to identify what tile corresponds to theses coordinates. It could be nice if the terrain window, that gives you the type and the bonus of a tile, would give you also the associated coordinates.

In the following savegame http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5057853/3c_maggie/MAGGIE.EleSav Rilis is next to a cavern filled by wolves were maggie's key is located. If you kill the guarding wolf and enter the cave, you end in a tactical combat with 3 wolves. When you kill 2 wolves and hit the autoresolve button, you are going back to the main map, without any battle report. The cave has disappeared, meaning your quest will be al
The action point system is set up so that those with a high combat speed can basically go to down on others. We do not want to hook this up to endurance (strategic map movement) because the two aren't really related. The idea is that someone with a very high combat speed can do a lot of harm in a single tactical turn. But high combat speed is useless without attack power. You can be really fast and not be able to g
What about if 4 pieces of the adventurer quest were individual for a race, but the final piece was common, and then you had to get it back to your capital to win.
That could be done in one turn max if you can cast the Teleport spell ;) Or you can give that item to a unit inside the capital ;)
I'm pretty sure these values are wrong. If I remember correctly (and I just did a quick verification of the first one), the formula are (E = expected damage, A = attack rating, D = defense rating): If A = D: E = A/6 If A If A > D: E = A/2 - D/2 + D*D/6*A
You are correct, my values were wrong. After having redone the calculations the exact values are: If A = D: E = A*(A+2)/6*(D+1) = (A+1)/6 - 1/6*(A+1)

The description of Burn ennemy is: Target ennemy loses INT% of their HP. When you have 12 INT and an opponent with 10 HP, you are expecting this spell to do only 1 HP. Yet, an autoresolve combat told me that My sovereign was able to do 12HP damage to the ennemy. So the description should have been: Target ennemy loses INT of their HP.

Well, I have a problem with location of high level quests established when generating the map: how to handle the building improvements on a tile that is not yet reveleaded?
