I'd be happy to, but only if I can approve the list of people *my* address will be sent to. Absolutely. If there is anyone you want "filtered" just include that information in the email and I will respect those wishes without question. And prior to sending out the list I will let those who wish to be selective know who the list wou

Yes, yes, I know it isn't even Halloween yet. But the Holidays are fast approaching and I thought it might be fun to set up a Christmas/Holiday card swap (with enough time for it not to be a burden). Here is what I was thinking: If you want in drop a comment here, adding your name to the list, then email me ( petey DOT jones AT gmail DOT com ) an address to which the cards should be mailed (don't want real or emai

This was one of those commercials that I saw coming from a mile away. Obviously for Red Bull by the hand-drawn cartoon aspect, the second he got crapped on I saw it coming. But I didn't think they really would. But they did.

Maso, It has been a pleasure to get to know you. While I don't email and stuff a lot, I hope you know I do value your friendship. Being able to make friends with people on the other side of the world really is one of the wonders of the Internet. Blog on mate, blog on.

I'd rather, for the most part, forget about them, hope Darwin sorts them out But he doesn't, damnit. Trust me. It's a blog in the making. Been in the oven for a few months now, but one of these days it will be complete.

I know you don't want 100% site customization, and I agree that would be too much. But enhancing the customization features we have is my #1 complaint about the site. Apart from changing colors, every page just looks so generic and, well, ugly that it just doesn't feel personal at all. I understand blogs should be about the content, but the "same-ness" of the site just makes it boring and unappealing.

Are there any games right off the top of your head that you don't think are age appropriate? If we pick up the system and some games then I will know which ones to avoid..heh. Most of the games rated M deserve it. Gears of War is one of my favorites, but it is very violent, bloody and has some harsh language. You can turn off the l

In answer to the title: yes. I absolutely believe that a welfare state encourages poor customer service. It encourages poor performance in every way. Call me a pessimist, but I believe that people are inherently lazy. Many of us (hopefully) overcome that, but far too many don't. If there is no extrinsic motivation for people who have no intrinsic motivation to start with, why work hard at all? But I don't believe that it is just this idea of a welfare s

I have never run into problems with the camera. Then again, I don't use it to chat other than to send game invites to friends and don't play games that really use the camera. Most importantly, be involved. Know what games he wants to play and seek advice about whether or not they are appropriate. Some of my favorite games I wouldn't let my 11 year old play, so ask around. I think there are enough here who game to give you a decent idea if a game is appropriate

First off, I will admit that I have a 360 and love it. It has been well worth it in my opinion. But $450 is for the Elite. You don't need that one. It has the 120 gig hard drive. If you go for the "Pro", which is the one that comes with the 20 gig hard drive, that is plenty. That version is $350. But, yes, you don't want to go the most basic version, the "Core". It is affectionately been known as the "tard pack" as in retard. The hard dr

I guess I just don't see bloggers as really being powerful at all. Sure, there are those select few who may be noticed, but when I hear the MSM talking about the "blogosphere" (I had to throw that one in there for you) I just sort of shake my head and laugh. They are just trying to jump on the bandwagon of popularity. But as far as importance? I guess I'm not seeing it. I suppose it could be some powerful grass-roots sort of thing if there was enough of a

You're right. I do wish I was as cool as Neurosis. I agree, this is a masterpiece. It just blows away so much other metal I have heard. These guys are truly one of music's best bands.

I started reading them a few years ago, enjoyed up to about book 5 and then lost all interest as it seemed that he was just milking the story. There were entire books where nothing ever happened. I do, however, want to read them once they are finished. Sad for him and his family. Hopefully he is in a better place.

I can't wait to see them live in London. Hope you enjoy it. I saw them in Boston for this tour, Charlotte NC for the 30th anniversary tour, Raleigh NC for the Vapor Trails tour and Salt Lake City for the Roll the Bones tour. It is a tough call over which was the best, R30 or Snakes and Arrows . Both shows were just fantastic tho
