My Object Desktop subscription recently expired. On an attempt to install a program I am now informed that I no longer have access and my registration is not valid. I was thought that with the expiration of the subscription I still had access to all programs that were part of Object Desktop, but not new updates. Is that not correct. Is it that I only have access to what was already downloaded when the sub expired? Clarification would be nice, as it is a little di
Turn off blurring and transparency in Wbcfg.
It was actually just the blur. I can leave transparency at skin default and just had to set the skin to blur only if skin called for it. I forgot I had set it to blur all the time. Good call VStyler. Thanks a ton.

Unfortunately, I don't know how long this has been going on, as it is skin dependent, but I recently noticed that there is a problem with the window frames on some skins. It seems to be windows with irregular borders, such as Rockstar (as in the screenshot), but I also see it with things like Old Republic, Optix and a few others. <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/uxfGSc6nwMw8et18IDadXg?feat=embed

I sort of saw this coming. I welcome you to the greener, if less populated, pastures of Blogspot. You know, at this rate, we can have a regular cabal of JU defectors over there.

Well, since the Stardock Gestapo closed your other article, I am forced to use this one to express my outrage at the behavior of those with "power" here. This just drives home the notion that 1) Stardock doesn't really give two shits about JoeUser, and 2) Deleting and closing threads (that don't belong to them) must be deemed superior to discourse and communication. Yet another fine example of why I will never blog here again. To be blunt, JoeUser blows goats when it comes

As long as the people are pleasant, I like these types of things. But when they get fiesty and in your face, not so much fun.

Yeah, sounds like you need a break. I understand that feeling for sure. I have been getting that way lately myself as well. Fortunately, I have a week off the end of this month. Should be good. Hope the vacation helps renew the perspective Maso. You deserve a good one mate.

[ quote]Gavin's class has 30 kids.Gavin's class has 30 kids.
Wow. You know, sometimes I forget how nice we have it here in the Upper Valley of NH. There are 15 or less in every class my little ones are in. Glad he is excited. My 5 year old doesn't start until next week. She can hardly stand it.
be at peace, always.
Many thanks Elie. Peace to you through your life as well.
Like Jill said, I'm glad you haven't sworn off us!
Naw, I don't want to do that. Too much drama. ;) I just wanted to let those who might care know I intend to continue blogging, just elsewhere. Thanks for your support FS.
I do want to address this real quick. JoeUser is a free site, and as with any site it costs money to develop, maintain, etc. Ads are necessity due to this.
I know IslandDog. I really do. But how can that be considered an acceptable response when there are plenty of other free options that are more feature rich and don't accost the user with a minimum of 3 obnoxious image ads and a handful of text ads? I support Stardock's decision to subsidize the cost
I will bookmark your regular blog and start catching up!
Just be warned, it hasn't been updated for a long time as well, It was just when I started thinking of blogging again, I have the energy to blog there, but just don't want to continue to cross-post here.

I appreciate it. I really do. Thanks to JoeUser, I understood blogging. I realized that it can be an enjoyable, cathartic and at times intellectually stimulating exercise. Unfortunately, as of late, it has been none of those things. I think about blogging and I feel weighed down. I stop by JoeUser and am overwhelmed by the torrent of Stardock support type articles/Wincustomize cross-post
That is a myth. Like smoking, the government makes money off of health problems. How? People die younger so they draw less SS.
Do you have any data to back this up? Or are you just pulling random BS numbers out of the air (or other, less hygenic regions)? 'Cause to be honest, I'm betting on the latter. You are going to have to find some serious solid evidence to support that idiotic claim, because even the slightest bit of insight into how much obestiy
you seem like you want to come here and simply become confrontational by using blunt words like 'stupid' and 'idiot.'
Heh, well, I would apologize for using "blunt" words, but, frankly, they fit the situation. Now I'm just poking because it is fun. At least I'll admit it, no?
Bluedev,. I'm not sure what your purpose is... if its to rub it in then your coming across as a bigger idiot.
Nope, not trying to rub it in. Just pointing out that it is a tad silly to whine about people commenting on something you posted. That little "wow, you guys are still on this" comment just sounds stupid. People are just doing what you invited them to do: commenting on an article you posted. Nothing more,
wow, you guys are still on this... lets just say that after being universally condemned... I get it. I've apologized and have moved on.
Good on ya. But, you know, if you don't want people to tell you when you have been an idiot, you either 1) shouldn't allow comments, or 2) shouldn't post something on the internet.
