After spending 60 hours in Stellaris I am finding the following points in comparison with the RTS/4X games that Stardock makes. Exploration Planets are very similar to GalCiv3, galaxy is very similar to SotSE/Endless Space. Events (GalCiv3), galactic/end-game-disasters events (GalCiv3), planetary research events (SotSE) mostly matches what already exist in SD games. However, many events are time-limited, and events can be chained (i.e. not a single point of te

I wonder if delaying theme releases is fair to OD customers that don't want to renew their subscriptions but lose out on the theme due to the delay. So effectively Stardock can simply release 4 themes in one month then not release anything regularly and if a subscriber misses out on that month, he or she can say goodbye to it. eg... a theme was supposed to be released in Apr as part of the launch of OD08, and a second in Jul. Yet, themes are delayed so that both themes + one more theme

Finally they made available a version that actually runs on x64, loads ICL packages and saves customised packages correctly. However, there are still a few issues... 1) When loading new iconpackages from explorer, iconpackager64.exe that runs is not signed with a manifest 2) Lack of polished iconpackages from Stardock 3) The long obselute Microsoft Plus themes option is still there And the last problem, which really is a feature request, is the lack of options for using icon

Hi, It has been 3 weeks since OD2008 has been launched. It has been 3 weeks since IP4(x64) beta has been promised. It has been at least 6mths since there has been any changes for IP(x64). It has been at least 6mths since there has been any updates for Object Desktop Premium skins and suites. When will we be getting the goods we deserve? I believe many people have subscribed to OD near mid-year last year and their subscriptions will be expiring soon. When will we be
No chance. Every year on April fool's day, the first article you read that sounds even remotely "questionable" is absolutely untrue. In the past, they have been a bit more shocking... the saying WC was merging with DA, that was a good one. This year they went more for trying to be believable to trick more people...
What about a few years down the road? I understand that this is definitely a 0104 joke... but some things might just change overnight, especially for things like li

Frankly speaking WC should really explore the other OSs to see what can be done to embrace them. This post is questionable since it is on 01 Apr, but also might be really the real deal. The only thing keeping me away from Linux has been the games support. Since I dun use obscure stuff, there are really little to deter me from switching. Wine and cedega is still not adequate enough for me.

Archive option doesn't work / appear at all. WinFX, Tweakshell still has a ugly icon. Applications does not show available date. Checking pre-release alpha/beta shows applications like Controlcenter. The new IP still only works and installs on x86 only. x64 gives you the old one. WB4 appears to be installed even though only MyColors is installed.
Well, I hope it will be better that 3.2 because all of the new packages is not even loaded up in Iconpackager it's just all blank icons. Even tried emailing Stardock Support..they have my ticket but no reply yet.
This is precisely what I am getting too. Filed support tickets and till now no fix for the issue, which means I can only use the few packs that came with IP. There hasn't been any updates since Oct 2007 either (and even that is a beta version), so the applicatio

Its time they try to fix the installation / update routine. Everytime I update (no matter to a beta / release build) I need to uninstall and reinstall completely. The update function doesnt seem to work. Vista x64 UAC on.

I have the same problem. Some iconpacks wont load and give me a yellow exclaimation mark. Using Vista x64 and a beta version here. Filed a ticket but there's no reply for a long long time. There has also been no newer beta releases.

Frankly speaking I only need Windowblinds and Iconpackager from all these. It would also be nice to have CursorVista included. The rest can be excluded as I really only want eyecandy for my desktop, and not extra features (ie ObjectDock, etc). The current plans throws in a bunch of software that I will not need. ***Maybe a eye-candy pack can be created at a more moderate cost*** In fact isnt it funny to not include Skinstudio with Windowblinds? I would imagine having the abilit

Hi, I am encountering serious issues with nProtect GameGuard with Windowblinds. With Windowblinds loaded, GameGuard will definitely crash almost all window applications with Windowblinds. To verify this, you can download games that employ GameGuard (ie Maple Story, Kartrider). Can Stardock work with the GameGuard developers to iron out this issue, which has been bugging me for months? I have also logged ticket PNA-420862 for this issue.
Your computer has a Windows E
