Vista X64 Issues

Keeps Requiring Restart

I installed the shareware version of 6. I am running Vista x64.
I keep getting the message that says I need to restart. I have 3 times with no luck. Also I don't have anything that is protecting the registry. All I had was AVG running when I installed it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried disabling AVG as a test?

Did you have an earlier version of WB installed?

Have you tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it again? I solved mine with the trick.

I was able to resolve this on the test machine by a simple reinstall. If you reinstall and get the same error please let us know at [email protected].

Okay. I found out why. I was installing this from work over a remote desktop session. For some reason Vista protects the registry in certain ways when logged in from a remote location. Reinstalling while not logged in remotely fixed the problem. Just thought I'd let everyone know.
